Understanding that dogs are family since 1985.

About Me

In 2001, I graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor's of Arts degree, and went to work for Petsmart, where I became a certified pet trainer and taught group classes, that ranged from Puppy Kindergarten to Basic Obedience, to Advanced Obedience and AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing, to Trick Training. In 2003, I founded My Dog's Trainer, which offered in home consulatations and personalized, private lessons, focusing on general canine manners and obedience instruction. On the first of January 2007, My Dog's Trainer, became MDT Dog Training, but continues to operate under the same values and with the same personalized approach.
I believe that dogs are valuable family members worthy of being given the chance to learn, and this is the premise upon which I have built my company. As long as you are committed to your dog and their well being, I can work with you and your dog to help them adjust their behavior and become a well mannered part of your family, adding to both of your quality of life.

My Interests

Dogs, Animal Rescue, Photography, Writing, Painting and the Arts.

I'd like to meet:

I'm always on the lookout for fellow trainers to swap ideas and experiences with and rescue agencies and shelters to network with and help out with however I can. I'd also like to meet anyone who is looking to improve the manners of their already almost perfect or not so perfect best friend. I want to help you!

Everyone is always surprised with how much a few obedience lessons can help eliminate so many frustrating behaviors. (And, no I don't train roommates, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, or kids, although some people wish that I did after they see what I can do to help their dogs.)

If you are a current client or a future client and were referred here by me, or someone else, welcome! I hope you find the information here useful. And, if you are a friend, family member, or just fellow animal lover, welcome as well.
