Uprising Radio was founded in July 2003. Uprising emphasizes connecting global issues with local ones. Simply informing listeners of the problems in the world and our communities is not enough - we hope to motivate our listeners to take an active role in their communities.Uprising is a daily radio program, produced at KPFK, Pacifica Radio in Los Angeles. It airs weekdays from 8-9 am PST at 90.7 fm LA, and 98.7 fm Santa Barbara. A weekly syndicated version of Uprising is available free to all stations.
