I am here for Friends

About Me

I would like to think that I am just a regular decent guy. I enjoy surfing, hanging out at the beach, pretty much anything that involves the ocean I suppose. I also play ping pong, and ride dirt bikes. My best friends are Wingnut and Kevin, you can check them out via my friends list. I'm not too sure how open I am to new things, I can be a bit boring at times, yet I would like to think I am good for some adventure. I try to enjoy life at all times, even during the bad, if nothing else just to appreciate the emotion that you are feeling, how intense it is - to me there is definitely something beautiful in that. Try to live life to the fullest, but don't take that as meaning you have visit every continent and eat every type of food. Face it, there is no possible way to do everything, so wherever you are and whatever you may be doing, just try and take that in for all it's worth. I think the majority of people will find there is a lot more there than they initially thought/realized (myself included).

My Interests

Surfing, longboard skateboarding, kayaking, ping pong, poker (Hold em and 7 card stud), baseball, playing with the family dogs, and having interesting/stimulating conversations.

I'd like to meet:

Old friends who may have drifted away. People who want to play ping pong, or donate money in poker. Anyone who likes to play Over the Line. People with cool dogs.

Music:

Modest Mouse is tops for me. Pink Floyd, Dreamtheater, Saves the Day, Weezer, Ozma, and 95.9 the Octopus.

Movies:

V for Vendetta. Million Dollar Baby. Mystic River.

Television:

Angels baseball, some poker now and then. Seinfeld, some Family Guy.

Books:

Conferderacy of Dunces - Hilarious for the more sophisticated reader. Which is funny when you consider the topic. The Last Ship - I think it is just a good read that lets you get into one person's mind, similar to the way you can only be with yourself.Frankenstein - classic and i love the descriptions. The Brothers K - a great book about life and family and how weird things can be but how really great it all is. This book is seriously great.

Heroes:

People who do what they can, with what they have.

My Blog

Point with Wingers

Caught several fun waves today on the Glenn fish, but the real hammer was from the point to the hotel, about a foot overhead, I connected probably three separate sections just pumping fast down the li...

"The hits just keep on coming"

For some reason I said that to myself, out loud, after falling at the end of a very fun wave at the point today. Me and Kevin at the point, Wingers was there somewhere too, but I never saw him. ...

Strand with Kevin

Me and Kevin surfed Strand today, for about 45 minutes before I had to leave to the Long Beach Aquarium. I hadn't been out in a few weeks, and was kinda apprehensive about paddling and just getting b...

Surfing is the new in thing.

Damn. I have done a whole lot of surfing the past week. After about 3 or 4 weeks off, due to no waves and the Vegas trip, Shores and Strand have been pretty damn fun. This morning me, Pompey, a...

The Glenn Fish

I surfed twice today, both times with similar waves, yet very different sessions. My first sesh was with Pompey, him on his new longboard ($100 off of Marcos), and me on my new 5'8 fish. Glenn, the ...

Pompey is back.

Me and Pompey at Strand (CD and yellowdoyle), at about 1130. We surfed for a little over an hour, and it was overcast with no wind, and nice glassy waves, the whole time. A very good sesh, I caught ...

Sunset Strand

Surfed strand alone today, from about 730 to 830. (pm....that's the one nice thing about summer, waves late in the day). I rode the CD, and paddled out at the second tower, and slowly drifted to the...

CD sessions

Kevin, Antonio, and I surfed Ventura Point at about 230 on Thursday. The waves were about 4-8 feet on the faces, but the conditions were fairly poor - windy with a choppy surface. Anyways, I caught ...

Strand on Memorial Day

I surfed Strand with Wingnut, in trunks, for about 35 minutes. I had gone dirt biking this day, and it was so damn hot in Gorman, and on the drive home, that I just wanted to jump in the ocean right ...

Busted Point

Me, Scotty B, and Wingers out at the Point. Marcos and Pompey were gonna come, but since the waves sucked and the sun was nowhere to be seen, they peaced out. (No waves, no sun, no wetsuit, not a ve...
