Movies:
I LOVE movies. Horror movies are my absolute favorites, I think my top 3 are Silence of the Lambs, The Shining (The Stanley Kubric version) and Saw. Saw II was awesome! I have a strange love of corny Stephen King horror flicks, (The Langoliers, Rose Red...oh yeah). I like really out-there comedies like Four Rooms and The Big Empty. Justin and I have been in an old horror movie phase, so I love Candyman and his pimpcoat, and Jason ('cause he's got a bad rap)!

Television:
My favorite TV show of all time is ALF (remember it?) and I really miss FRIENDS. You don't have to pretend you don't like it, I won't tell anyone. I'm addicted to DIY shows and pretty much anything else on TLC. I'll always stop channel surfing if I catch a glimpse of Britney (translation: I watch a lot of E!), and I ADORE The Simple Life. I like comedy (SNL, Mad TV, stand-up) adult swim-ish cartoons (Family Guy, Futurama) and Justin introduced me to a series called Dead Like Me (unfortunatley, it was cancelled) and it is SO GOOD!If you don't watch it, I may or may not ever speak to you again. We also just finished the full series (one whole season)of Kingdom Hospital. It's weird, but Stephen King has a cameo, and his wife wrote one of the episodes! Yeah, Justin knows how to cater to my nerdy Stephen King infatuation (and my sexy new obsession with THE GIRLS NEXT DOOR!)...you're right, I am the luckiest girl in the world.
Books:
I love, Love, LOVE Stephen King. I'm a writer, I write some horror (though I'm mostly a mystery writer... there's no shame in genre writing, and if you think there is, you're an elitist idiot who will probably die poor, hungry and homeless before long, anyway) and if there's anyone to look up to in that feild, it's him. My favorite works of his are his collections of short stories, my favorite of those being Four Past Midnight (although, Everything's Eventual deserves A LOT of credit, as well). Justin gave me one of King's books written under the pen name Richard Bachman, called The Long Walk. It's amazing. Besides Stephen King's books, I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. Come on, you know you love them. Bill Ransom (a.k.a the reason America CAME to Evergreen) is incredible, amazing and one of the coolest people I've ever met. He writes mostly sci-fi and poetry. He's been nominated for the nobel prize. I'm kind of a fan (note the sarcasm on "kind of"). On Justin's recommendation, I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, it was REALLY good, I highly suggest it. I read then watched the movie adaptation of Thank You for Smoking and it was really witty. I finished Memoirs of a Geisha the night before I saw the movie and, although the movie is beautiful, the book is SO much better. That's usually the case, anyway.Do yourself a favor and read a book about deaf culture. I recommend "I Was # 87," it'll shock you. Expand your mind.
