About Me

Hello, my name is Dai Boggan. I am a native of Alexandria, VA, and have been performing on stage since the age of 8. I started out on stage performing in talent shows in and around the Washington, DC area.
On a dare from my older sister Kimberly, I started acting in the 9th grade. I attended Mount Vernon High School, and was a member of the drama department for four years. I graduated a member of the Thespian National Honor Society, and later went on to major in Fine Arts at Norfolk State and Howard Universities.
I am a two-time winner at New York City's Amateur Night at the “World Famous” Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. No stranger to television as I have directed & starred in music videos, television commercials, and hosted talk shows on public access cable. I have also starred in two off Broadway plays, most noted for my role in the play The Big Bad Wolf, the life story of Mike Tyson, where I played the lead role of Mr. Tyson, and earned great reviews from the Washington Post.
I’ve won numerous accolades for my work including a national award in Las Vegas, NV as a cast member of Flavors, A Taste of Comedy, a sketch comedy show, on public access cable, where I played roles like Minster Louis Farrakhan, the crazy car salesman, and is most recognized in my role of the hilarious Sister Ophelia. I was also seen in BET'S Action Pay-Per-View comedy special The Michael Colyar Project.
I love the stage, and most recently I starred in the stage play Sessions in Autumn, as Carter. I also am gearing up to begin filming on the most talked about project currently in production, Queen of Media, the film version of the best-seller, Wendy Brings the Heat. I just finished shooting a video for Darlette "Whyte Chocolate" Gayle's video, Hold Me, where I am her leading man. My dream is to write, act, and direct films.
