Ma-Yi is the nation's leading Asian American theater company.
We develop more APA playwrights, actors, and scripts than anyone else. For the last 18 years, we have provided a voice for our community.
At Ma-Yi, we believe in process and collaboration, encouraging our artists to push beyond the creative boundaries and challenge popular prescriptions of what Asian American theater should be.
We choose to create theater that is hopeful as it is interrogative. We believe in responsive and responsible art and in a theater that celebrates the resiliency of the human spirit.
