Going to see some great movies, checking out new places, having interesting conversations, trying new foods, meeting other great minds and entertain some ideas. Armchair philosophy. I like lots of flavors on my plate and layers in my desserts. Walking on the beach is cool, but better if I'm looking for some little living crab (just to acknowledge) or something. I like being on the outside looking in; it puts me right in the center of it all, only quietly. Modeling is like Halloween; reminds me of my birthday! I like to dress up any chance I get! Did I mention roller coasters?? They're my FAVE!
A Jabberwocky. Strangers. Aliens. Monsters. Maybe not monsters. Snuffalupogus. Ghosts. Other Chameleons. The witty. The Brave. The Prolific. The Exraordinaire. I have met The End and The Beginning. What an incredible story...
Playing now is some of the things suiting my mood. I'm really digging mash-ups these days. I was looking for the Sisters of Mercy version ov Gimme Shelter & came across the B.S. mash-up. I had to have it. Love & Loathing rolled into one. I couldn't help it, I *had* to have it! Mylene Farmer is someone I learned about in Iceland in 1990. She's French, but her music's pretty good. This one's kind of cool, usually, she sings about crappy, suicidal things, or the occult... or sex... Music is a tool for me; a trigger. So, whatever is playing will effect my mood. ;)
DIG, Still Breathing, Killer Clowns From Outer Space (I just can't look away. It's so bizarre!), My Big Fat Greek Wedding I know- guilty pleasure, okay?), Beer Fest, The Prophecy (1,2 and 3- haven't seen past that). I liked 28 Weeks Later, Goodfellas, ALL the ZATOICHI: The Blind Swordsman; so BRILLIANT in the 60's! Amazing! Thanks to On Demand (yay), I've been seeing some pretty creepy movies from the 60's. 'Brain Damaged' was really great; I mean- you'd HAVE to act like that if things went that way, you know? Oh, you don't know because you haven't seen it? Go find it. It's worth it. And any movie that ends with the undead burying themselves to get away from the living? You can't beat that... Level 9 Creepiness. Ten is when it happens to you, ok?Also: A.I., Blade Runner, Stigmata, Donny Darko, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Illusionist, anything with Christian Bale, Underworld/Evolution
R.I.P., no tv!! Internet: Adult Swim (METALOCALYPSE! SHIN CHAN! Garth Marenghi's Darkplace! VENTURE BROS.!):D
I like books that entertain, but I read those when traveling, Most of what I collect (book-wise) tends to be How-To. Many deal with alternate religious philosophy, although I can't say that I "believe in" or support organized religion. The last books was for EXCEL, but can't say that I'm having fun with that one. :P Before that was metal casting. What ever interests. I'm going to be getting Neil DeGrasse Tyson's book; he's incredible.
Inventors of chocolate delicacies of any & every kind!! Inventors & designers of roller coasters, my Celtic heritage; not so much my Roman or Germanic side ... The beings and experiences that made me who I am. John Duns Scotus, who was a philosopher and theologian in the high Middle Ages. Because of his keen thought process he was given the nickname "Doctor Subtilis." His theories and work were very influential in the areas of Ethics, Theology, and Metaphysics. He taught in Paris and at Oxford. My great grandmother remains a great inspiration.
