Given that you have made it this far, there are no prizes for knowing my name and age.
From Birmingham (which you also probably know), currently studying for a degree in Music and History. I live with my darling housemates Jen and Helen in the fabulous Kelso Castle where we eat, drink, watch lots of Sex and the City and dance around our bedrooms. Also residing in our house are my goldfish Marvin and Edward who are oddly fond of Guns 'n' Roses and having staring competitions with the pirate statue in their tank.
My life revolves around two things: music and martial arts. I have been playing the piano since I was 9, singing since I was 12 and playing the saxophone since I was 14 - I can also play miniscule amounts of drums and acoustic guitar. I am currently the conductor of the music society Wind Band (although not for much longer) which is an occasional headache but I have had an amazing time doing it.
I practise Aikido and am Captain of the university Aikido team, which is definately more of a headache than conducting a band, and Kobudo which is a Japanese weapons art - yes I do have a sword, yes it is sharp.
I'm a trained first aider and a volunteer with the St John Ambulance.
I can't do without my ipod, I live in jeans, converse and hoodies, my walls are adorned with photos and muppets posters, I wear a silver claddagh ring and have my ears pierced 5 times.

My Interests

Music, Travelling, Aikido, Kobudo, Iai-Jutsu, St John Ambulance

Music:

Bad question to ask a music student.

A cliche to say I like most things but I actually do, not a huge fan of hip-hop I have to admit. The more I find out about the music in the world, the more I come to love. You will find Holst, Fleetwood Mac, Dylan, Meat Loaf, Vivaldi, Hans Zimmer and the Ministry of Sound all quite happily sitting next to each other on my self. Can't resist a good Power Ballads CD though.

Movies:

Most things Disney - esp. Mulan, School of Rock, the Shreks, The Last Samurai, Brassed Off, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Cool Runnings, Muppets Wizard of Oz, Muppets From Space, Anchorman. Comedies tend to be the best although a good drama is nice occasionally. Don't do horror.

Television:

The Muppets, Grey's Anatomy, CSI: NY, Sex and the City, Bones, DOI, Friends,

Books:

Like Water for Chocolate - Laura Esquival
The Master and Margarita - Mikhail Bulgakov
Oryx and Crake - Margaret Attwood
Angels and Demons - Dan Brown
Chocolat - Joanna....Someone
Angry White Pyjamas - Robert Twigger
Ipod, therefore I am - Dylan Jones
