Born in Decatur Georgia, 1980, Cameron was the oldest of four children. He first began to realize his undiscovered passion for music at the age of eight, as he stumbled across the hidden ability to turn emotion into song. When he was twelve his family moved overseas as missionaries to Goma Zaire, Central Africa. The move was difficult for him. He was put into a local Belgium school that taught only in French, a circumstance that forced him to learn it fluently within a few months. But his perception of difficulty would be drastically changed within the year ahead. In December of 1992 he and his family were nearly murdered during military riots that shook the town of Goma, leaving the city a ravaged heap of dead bodies and shattered glass. It was at this point that Cameron really realized the presence of God, not because it was taught to him but because it saved his life. The riots not only altered his view on life but the way he approached his music. He began to write in the form of raw and honest prayers, as if searching for answers in an unforgiving world. In early 93 the family moved to the neighboring country of Rwanda where the political situation was slightly more stable and more predictable. But prediction is nothing more than an eye to the future, an eye blinded by the curtain of the present. And they could never have anticipated what they would endure within the next year. In April of 1994 the country of Rwanda would be raped by one of the worst genocides in the history of mankind. A slaughter that would never leave the small east African country the same. As the fighting broke out Cameron and his family found themselves trapped within the walls of a Baptist Guest House, cracked and shaken from the explosions that tore through the city of Kigali. It was then that death touched his eyes for the first time. He watched in horror, his adolescent mind ripped of its innocence as the man was shot three times in the head, his body ran over by armored trucks then left in the street to rot. But the family kept to the shelter that protected them before, and with Gods promise of safety amidst destruction they found themselves not afraid but encouraged by the 91st Psalm that they would be spared. They were then evacuated in a 32 car convoy with the other Americans inhabiting Kigali. Driving through burning cars and armed crowds, threatening them with machetes, machine guns and hand grenades the family drove over night to neighboring country of Burundi to safety. Within the next three months 800,000 people would be slaughtered, yet Cameron and his family lived to see God spare their live once again.

When Cameron returned to the States in 1996 his life would take a dramatic turn. Feeling lost and out of place in a world that couldnt understand his suffering he turned to the one thing that caused it, violence. After beginning to sell guns and drugs at school he joined a gang and reciprocated the only thing in life that he understood. Changing his name to BabyBlue and forgetting the God that saved his life so many times before he began a downward spiral. He stopped writing music, killing the only thing that allowed him to acknowledge his emotions, leaving him with nothing but a heart full of bad memories and no door to let it out. With his family overseas Blue had no one. No one to love, no on to trust, no one to help him out of the hole he had trapped himself in. He spent most of 98 and 99 homeless, sleeping in cars, crack houses, the home of anyone who would let him in, or the cold pavement. After realizing he had lost everything. Everything that made him special. He began to pray, calling on the God that showed him mercy when he was young. His life was empty, he was on drugs, stealing to feed the addictions that burned in his flesh. But no substance could fill his emptiness, an emptiness once filled by the God he had shoved out. So he began to write. Writing every emotion, thought, feeling or question that plagued his mind in search for the answer that he already knew. In writing he began to find himself, find God and find his purpose in life. He wrote the Prayer that saved his life... My Lifes Prayer.

Most people that have really taken the time to sit down and listen to My Life's Prayer in it's entirety would probably agree that it is nothing less than an undergound masterpiece. A work of art defined by the immense pain, anger and suffering that created it... laid together with hunger and delivered with a message so raw, honest and convicting that few have walked away looking at life the same. Those who have really taken the time to scratch beneath the surface and read between the lines would agree that it's spiritual and theological depth have been paralelled by no other album in the history of music.

So for the fans of the first album the questions begin to rise... How could a single disc follow up have half of the spiritual, emotional or theological substance of it's double disc predecessor? What about the next two chapters in the Maskilian Chronicles? Is this the final appearance of "My Life's Prayer"?...

To answer the questions I'll say this. Above everything else, be it in my career, my life, my art or simply in my reputation as an artist, my ultimate desire is to create raw, honest and emotional music that drives home a powerfull message without limitation or boundary. Speaking the truth regardless of who it touches or who it offends.

My Life's Prayer is one of the most personal and cherished pieces of art that I've ever created. With that being said, it's hard to step away knowing that it hasn't been pushed and promoted to it's fullest... that it hasn't reached yet it's full potential. But unfortunately the music industry is no longer a place for art or artists. Over the past ten years it has slowly become a preposterous, comatosed circus of talentless clowns parading through this lifeless, leach infested brothel we call the music industry. And though each finger puppet whore, sitting so pridefully with another man's hand up his ass, pridefully boasts the claims of their own self obtained wealth and sucess... they all return their leased luxury cars and spinning rims to the labels that pimp them once the videos are over.

But in the end, motives are justified, mouths are fed, empires are built, names are famed and money is made... Yet truely, has anyone gone any farther than where they started? A few more cars, so each is driven less, a bigger house so more space is wasted, a few more dollars so the next day you don't even remember what you spent it on. The more we gain, the more we must protect, because ultimately it only becomes the more that we have to lose.

So the lines have been drawn and each of us as artists make a decision which side we stand on... Industry or Ministry. Do we follow the paths of the followers before us? Or pave our own highway, raise our voice and stand for what we believe regardless of where it takes us? Because at the end of the day the pursuit of Ministry is nothing more than the defiance of convention. And by overstepping the slightly sketched lines of convention you accept for yourself the possibility that your art may never be seen, heard or appreciated. Rather, being that like the lost Mona Lisa that no one cared to notice until long after it's creator was dead.

I've been laughed at by men of title, hated by those of status and even told by some of the industries top record execs that none of this will ever work, simply because "there is no market for music with a message." But my purpose here is clear, and their mockery only entices my rage, strengthens my drive and fuels my fire.

I've drawn my lines. So for those of you who have been friends since I was young and homeless, chasing a dream with nothing but a message and a voice to speak it. To the listeners whose lives have been changed and spirits uplifted, simply by that one song that shed a little light in a dark time. To the fans who loved, followed and supported me since the first recordings of My Life's Prayer. I promise you this... I will never stop this walking this path, I will not ignore this calling, I will not taint my message, I will not compromise truth, I will not distort my music and I will not forget my purpose. And if the ultimate sacrifice of my stance results in becoming nothing more than a starving artist. I take comfort in this...

MY BIGGEST INFLUENCE AND INSPIRATION WITHOUT A DOUBT IS JESUS CHRIST. IT'S EASY TO LOVE SOMEONE THAT LOVES YOU. TRY TO LOVE SOMEONE UNCONDITIONALLY AS THEY'RE DRIVING SPIKES THROUGH YOUR WRISTS.

DAVID IN THE OLD TESTAMENT. A YOUNG BOY WHO HAD MORE FAITH THAN ANY MAN BEFORE OR SINCE. A TEENAGER THAT NEVER TREMBLED IN THE FACE OF DEATH. A YOUNG ADULT THAT TO THIS DAY REMAINS ONE OF THE MOST ANCIENT REMEMBERED SONG WRITERS OF ALL TIME. A MAN WHO KNEW GOD, FELL INTO SIN AS AN ADULTERER AND A MURDERER... AND YET STILL A MAN AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART. THE ORIGINATOR OF THE FIRST MASKIL.

MY FATHER. A MAN THAT FOLLOWED GOD NO MATTER WHERE IT TOOK HIM. A MAN WHOSE FAITH WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO LEAD HIS CHILDREN THROUGH ONE OF THE MOST HORRIFYING GENOCIDES IN HISTORY AND NOT DOUBT GOD'S PURPOSE OR CALLING FOR HIS LIFE. A MAN WHO I CAUSED TO SUFFER WITH MY LIFE AND STILL ALLOWED ME TO BE A PART OF HIS.

AS AN ARTIST I BELIEVE THAT ANY ARTIST IS NOTHING MORE THAN A REINCARNATION OF THEIR INFLUENCES. SO HERE'S MINE; KEITH GREEN, 2PAC, BONE THUGS 'N' HARMONY, PHIL COLLINS, GOODIE MOB, OUTKAST, BIGGIE, ELTON JOHN, CHICAGO, GEORGE CLINTON, ISLEY BROTHERS, MICHAEL JACKSON, MICHAEL W. SMITH, ALL MY MOTHAFUCKIN' HOMIES... ARTEL, GHOST, RED EYEZ, SHAWN SMITH, KHUJO & T-MO GOODIE, BIZZY BONE, ANTOINE,... AND LASTLY ANYBODY WHO'S WILLING TO MAKE MUSIC FROM THEIR HEART REGARDLESS WHERE IT TAKES THEM.
