I'm Troy Mc Clure, and you may know me from bands as Aeghir, Meadow, AIT and Like Wolves they hunt.
Actually I'm not Troy Mc Clure, but Alain Carels, living in a small town in Belgium called Hertsberge, and playing guitar.
I've been playing in and out of bands since 1992, and I'm a gearhead. I collect and abuse fine pieces of guitar instruments.
As main guitars I use Mayones and Jackson guitars, Mayones Setius pro custom, Jackon select SL2, or Jackson DR2. These are tuned to drop C. For regular tuning I use my Tom Anderson pro Am.
As main amp I use an Engl SE with EL34's.
I use a bogner 4x12 with vintage 30's and a stereo Paul Lenders 2x12 with eminence governors.
In my home studio I use a wet/dry/wet setup with an extra brunetti rockit and 2 VHT 1x12's with eminence P50's.
Depending on the live-space I use a pedalboard or a pedalboard with rack. The pedalboard has a RMC3 wah, Ernie ball volume pedal, peterson strobostomp tuner, masotti white box booster/buffer, and a X2 wireless and is powered by a Masotti PW4. The rack is controlled by a rocktron all access and consists of a GCX Switcher, with 5 pedals in it's loops, Barber LTD, RC booster, Barber tone press, Analogman TS9 and a mxr phase 90. The rack further has a TC Electronic Gforce, a psionic audio custom interface and a furmann AR2306. All wiring is done with george L cable.
