Despite the odds created by a tragic early life,
Constandina, a unique blend of Greek/Appalachian heritage, came to Hollywood from the mountains of East Tennessee in the summer of 2006 to pursue her wildest dreams of working in film.
While obtaining a Master's degree in Storytelling in her Tennessee hometown, she assisted the director of the exclusive storytelling program: Dr. Joseph Sobol – author of the groundbreaking book "The Storyteller’s Journey: An American Revival". They created a class entitled “AppalArabian Nights†that combined Appalachian and Arabic culture and included lots of Bellydancing in broad daylight . Constandina starred in the final musical theatre production of this“1001 Nights†by playing Scherezade - history’s most famous storytelling heroine.Constandina served for several years "in the real world" as a case manager in a safe haven for victims of domestic violence by public speaking, helping to organize several annual “Take Back the Night†victim speak-outs, and managing a 24-hour crisis line. She is passionate about this cause. Later, she assisted the director of Paul Mitchell the School in Orange County, CA...and she supported their unprecedented teaching philosophy 100%.Constandina really loves to travel to faraway and exotic sounding places, and dream of one-day telling multicultural wisdom tales to underprivileged children.Although she is still "seeking her fortune", she is fully aware of the myriad treasures along the journey.Catch her if you can as she gets her start in film...in the Will Ferrell/Jon Heder film "Blades of Glory," playing a judge, bellydancing (and more *wink*)in Reel Big Fish's music video for "Party Down"...the first single off their new album "Monkeys for Nothing and the Chimps for Free," mulling around in the background of many of your fav. tv shows, including CSI NY, ER, How I Met Your Mother, Vanished, and all over "the Search for the Next Elvira" a Fox Reality original!Kiss Kiss!
