About Me

Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layouts2PM is the logical next step in the progression of Hip Hop. We have seen the Gangsta, the Backpacker, the Conscious, the Dirty South, the East Coast, the West Coast, and various other permutations of the art form we call Hip-Hop. But today we stand at the forefront of both a return to Hip-Hops beginnings and a paradigm shift in what Hip Hop is. Melding informed commentary on the harsh realities of life, with dogged passion for a better world, and dark, banging, futuristic beats, 2PM has begun to help shift Hip Hops focus from the individual to the societal, and focus Hip Hops ever growing muscle to truly positively impact the world. The members of 2PM, comprised of Yesreal (The Minister) and Yesreal (The Maestro), met while pursing degrees at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. The two first began working together on The Ministers R&B album, which Yesreal produced, after becoming acquainted through living in the same dormitory. Over time the duo began to share their love of Hip Hop, and decided that they wanted to help write and produce for Hip Hop artists that believed in advancing the art form like they did. However, no artists who met these criteria could be found so they decided to dedicate themselves to The removal of all that is fake, and the celebration of what is truly real, and formed 2PM, Two Prophets and a Mic.
