The Icon! The Showstoppah! The Main Eventah!

About Me

The nicknames are many, the profane comments are plentiful, the accolades are overflowing, but in the end, there's only one Lucard.

Who am I?
1. Occasional Writer for Inside Pulse 's Video Game and Music sections.
2. I'm the writer of Nyogtha, a popular folklore/monster anthropology/history of all things taboo or superstition. column. Guest writers have included Mick Mercer, Neil Gaiman, Christopher Moore, and Poppy Z Brite.
3. I write for POKEMON. Yes I know, and I love it. Pikachu rules!
4. I also do some side work for Konami. Which mainly involves them sending me royalty checks.

5. Does your company use the FISH! Philosophy? You know, Play! Make Your Day! Be There! Choose Your Attitude! I'm ever so slightly responsibile for that!

6. Cyberdog Pimp. Generally if you see anyone wearing this brand of clothing in the States, it's because I've sold them on it. I love having a working relationship with my favorite clothing brand.

7. I've been called the "Sub-Cultural Icon" for the monochromatically wearing Peter Murphy listening, clothing that doesn't breathe wearing subculture since 199..7? Of course,as nifty sounding as the title handed to me by the mainstream media is, being the supposed standard bearer for the entire Gothic comglomerate doesn't mesh well with my aforementioned Pokemania and my saving abandonded rabbits. Or my Spice Girls albums. But hey, blame MSNBC for creating the nickname and it being so catchy it's stuck for 10 years now with the industry subculture.
8. Icon to millions and International Role Model. :-P
I should point out I NEVER USE THIS. It exists as a placeholder and a way to stay in contact with friends, and make some new ones.
The real blog is over here if you're looking for wacky but insightful commentary.
