IN LAS VEGAS ----------------------------------------------------- Souls on Monday are one of the most powerful rock musicians to come from the South. They are currently catching the attention of music industry professionals and not to mention the loyal fan base they establish where ever they perform. Originally from Elton, Louisiana, the band started in 1989 and they have played from the garage to performing in front of thousands of fans. They have surpassed the critics by their powerful performance, strong lyrics, and hard-hitting vocals.
The band started in 1989 with four original members. Rayne Langley (Vocals), Ricky John (Guitar) Gabriel Castillo (Bass), and Roland Castillo (Drums). Later in the following years, Wayne Wilson (Guitar) joined the band. The band started out with cover performances and they were originally called Trail of Tears. The goals were not much by industry standards but little by little with each performance; the fans started to respond to the powerfulness and magnetism of the music. The band soon realized that this was starting to get some serious attention. In 2001, the band decided to change the name to Souls on Monday. This name change better suited the darker, hard driving, and catchy melodies that this band reputation was known for. The band has found the name that would catapult them into turning the heads of the music industry.
The year 2003 proved to be the first of the successful years that this band has experienced. The new CD entitled Realize compiled all original music that the fans time and time request again. This CD proved to be a success by their standards so far in taking it in their own hands. This same year also provided an opportunity to submit their music for the Battle of the Bands event, which they have conquered and performed on the main stage at the Dog Jam 3 at the Southeast Texas Amphitheater in Beaumont, TX. This event headlined 3 Doors Down, Sevendust, Seether, Revis and Shinedown. In April 2003, they were chosen to perform at the New York Music Festival.
In 2004, Souls on Mondays reputation hurled them automatically onto the stage again at the Dog Jam 4. Puddle of Mudd, Trapt, and Earshot headlined this awesome concert. Several record labels are taking a look at this awesome band. They are constantly making new contacts in the mainstream music industry by sharing the performance bills with bands such as Element Eighty and Indigenous.
