About Me

On Broadway

Add to My Profile | More VideosI'm a filmmaker and a playwright. Live in Boston. Made a movie this year called "On Broadway." Really proud of this movie. It has a ton of heart and a lot of laughs - which are the two things I care about. Stars Joey McIntyre, Mike O'Malley, Eliza Dushku, Jill Flint, Will Arnett, Lance Greene, Sean Lawlor, Vincent Dowling, Bob Wahlberg, and a whole bunch of other amazing actors. It's played 5 festivals now...here's the run-down: Independent Film Fest of Boston...2 sold-out shows in a thousand-seat theatre, extended standing ovations at both screenings. Hoboken Int'l Film Festival - 5 award nominations - Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Joey McIntyre), Best Supporting Actor (Lance Greene), Best Supporting Actor (Sean Lawlor). Waterfront Film Fest - non-competitive festival, so no awards to report...but we did get huge crowds of midwesterners who absolutely loved the film. Galway Film Fleadh - we won one of two awards given in the Best First Feature Film category. And Woods Hole Film Fest - we won Best Narrative Feature. Oh, and the Wine Country Film Festival - that one's just wrapping up as I type this so I don't know the results there yet. Did see a nice post on IMDB from someone who saw it there, so I know it at least connected w/ people. Which is what it's all about.About me...I'm a Boston kid, the youngest of a family of 11 kids. My wife and I have a son, just turned 2. And 35 nieces and nephews. And a greyhound named Fenway...she's retired from Wonderland Race Track, but she can still kick it into high gear faster than you can say "here's swifty." I co-wrote the movie Southie, which won the Jury Prize for Best American Independent Film at the 1998 Seattle Film Festival. And I wrote the stage plays God Willing and Back To Before, both of which I've directed in production. And I wrote a lot of other stuff - a lot - that has yet to be produced. Some of it I've forgotten about. And for some of that, that's probably a good thing. That's my story. Say hi. Come to the movie. Tell your friends.
