Monotone was formed in summer 2006 by Tom Scrimgeour and Zee Khattak.
George Wyrley Russell and Chris Cooper joined in 2008 to complete the four piece. We all share a love for music, all of us having slightly different tastes. We don't take ourselves too seriously, and we hate virtuoso's (people like Steve Vai and Zakk fucking Wylde), people who think they're Gods gift, and people who listen to the shite that comes out of the likes of the Kooks and the Pidgeon Detectives (would also like to point out that if George ever see's One Night Only or Plain White Tee's in public, we will have to get a steel leesh to restrain him from biting their cock's off and making them eat his shit). We like good music, that hasn't been manufactured to entertain the masses. Love us or hate us, at the end of the day, Monotone are 4 guys who want to have a laugh, and maybe get somewhere in the process. If you want us to work we'll work, if you want us to play we'll play.
