In May of 2006, Andrew Mathews and Kara McKenzie started to write some material for then Blood is Flavor in hopes of finding an original sound. Despite much anxiety and unpreparedness, they played a show with just the two of them in June 2006. The show went pretty well, and they also met Brandon Ryan (Bass). Brandon then introduced kara and Andrew to Tony Evans and Chris Klahn, both formerly of A Portrait in Ashes. Over a game of Mario Cart on the N64 we changed our name to War Without Reason. Soon after, we parted ways with Brandon and started playing shows locally and regionally. We picked up former bassist of Condemned by Silence, Mark Tomlin, to fill in on bass for us. We then recorded our debut album "The Nameless Horror" in December 2006 and released it in Febuary 2007. The album was recieved relatively well for a death metal album in Lynchburg. Soon after the release of the album Mark decided to part ways with us. We then played more regional shows and our fan base grew. In December 2007 we recorded the still yet to be realeased "Godless Heathens" EP. We are now working on promoting our band, playing more shows, and developing our sound.
