For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, none will suffice.

About Me

I'm a lifelong student who has managed to escape the real world up to this point (though not for that much longer). I was born in New Mexico, grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey, and now I'm finishing up a degree in meteorology in the middle of Pennsylvania. (No, you probably won't see me on TV doing weather at any point - I like the research side of things.)

One of my main interests on the side is writing and playing music. If you want to hear some music I co-wrote with my band, check out the TrevorStrike page. If you would like to hear some of my acoustic music, check out this page.

My Interests

Playing guitar, writing music, spiritual soul searching, meats on a stick, Atlantic City blackjack, skiing, hiking, working out, playing sports, swimming and snorkeling, fishing, hanging out in coffeeshops, random smiles, hearing live music in clubs, watching thunderstorms and snowstorms, reading, watching Duke basketball and the Yankees, and all sorts of other generic stuff

I'd like to meet:

Criss Angel, David Blaine, Jewel, Coach K, Sathya Sai Baba, John Basedow so that I can take control of my body and my life

I'm always looking for friends who'd go skiing with me. I'm not looking for the "single, Gemini, don't want kids, gotta link to my webcam" myspace friends. (Sorry, I don't have naughty webcam pics of myself to trade with you, and I wouldn't want you to feel left out.)

Music:

System of a Down, Jewel, 311, Nickel Creek, Collective Soul, Robert Johnson, Vertical Horizon, Hoobastank, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Moody Blues, Nirvana, Radiohead, James Taylor, The Who, and many others in a variety of genres. Lately, Flyleaf and Army of Anyone have caught my fancy.

Television:

The Daily Show, Mindfreak, The Office, South Park, The Colbert Report, Spongebob Squarepants (yeah, I know I'm 28)

Heroes:

I suppose that you can define a hero in many different ways, but I believe that many heroes are those who expand our perceptions of reality. And Brian Boitano.

My Blog

Is Mr. Krabs trying to destroy America?

I was watching some episodes of Spongebob Squarepants the other day, and I couldn't help but think that the character, Mr. Krabs, is setting a poor example for our youth and our post-adolescent not-so...

Presidential elections

Discussion about potential presidential candidates has heated up in recent weeks. In about a year the major parties will have settled on one candidate each, and America essentially will choose b...

Poor George Clooney

People magazine recently named George Clooney the sexiest man alive. (On a side note, I failed to make the list of sexiest men or world's most beautiful people AGAIN.) I feel a bit sorry for George ...
