Cape Canaveral is/was Graham, Alex, Chris and Pete. Over the years we have come to realise that one of the hardest things about being in a band is trying to describe yourselves to others. How do you get what you want to say across without sounding boastful or arrogant, littered with lame analogies in an attempt to sound quirky or arty? So instead here's what others have had to say about Cape Canaveral:
"Very accomplished compositional skills and the ability to create a vibe that draws you in and fills you with emotion. The vocals are impassioned and believable; the way the music and the vocals combine really sends shivers down your spine." (Fracture)
"...a drive, sheen and emotional depth that's impossible not to be attracted to." (Kerrang)
"Cape Canaveral play the kind of sweeping indie-rock that you'll come to adore... While there are nods towards the Jade Tree label and the more melodic stylings of the likes of alternative multi-million selling rockers Remy Zero, CC carve a nice niche into the market with their own sound." (Punktastic)
"Soooo good remarkable passionate, emotional rock with a slight Buffalo Tom feel." (UK Base)
"...the kind of SoCal groove you'd expect to hear from, say, a slower AtarisIt's been said about Cape Canaveral before, and it's true: if these guys were American, they'd be huge." (Drowned in Sound)
All in all we're about making the music we want to hear without worrying too much what we look like. We don't have off kilter haircuts, we don't wear make up or clothes that don't really fit us. We're like the 90s never went away. Old but reliable.
