I've given away my fork and spoon But kept my knife for inspiration

About Me

I drive fast, I eat slowly, I kiss gently, I walk briskly.

I have too many clothes, too few cell phone minutes, and never enough books.

I watch a lot of movies you've never heard of. I will try any kind of food. I don't dance.

I don't speak in code, and I don't play games. I strive to say exactly what I mean--and am often misunderstood anyway.

I don't fake affection. I am rarely tolerant of insipid or insincere people.

My favorite color is red, my favorite word is "scorn", and my favorite knife's name is "Mr. Stabby".

If I were a tree, I'd be a dwarf Japanese maple.
If you were a tree, what tree would YOU be?

My Interests

good movies, old movies, awesomely bad movies, knives, neil gaiman, video games, reading, webcomics, literature, creative writing, polka dots, dead baby jokes, misogynistic jokes, candy, bad puns, puppies, bunnies, random quotes, blogs, hundred-word drabbles, velvet, mixing drinks, redskins, being a bitch, Star Trek, witty banter, unwitty banter, awkward moments, doodling

I'd like to meet:

People who are interesting--but not so interesting that they border on creepy and/or psychotic.

Also, people with a decent understanding of English grammar. I'm not asking for perfection; just know the difference between "their", "there", and "they're". Put as many prepositions on the ends of your sentences as you like. :)

I don't accept random friend requests. Send me a message or something. We'll see where it leads. A warning, though: If you haven't the confidence to start a conversation with a complete stranger in real life, then don't waste my time by starting a conversation via Myspace. I don't have the patience to coddle your fragile ego.

P.S. - Please do not hit on me. I'm not interested. This will be your only warning. If you ignore this, I will hate you forever. And maybe knife you in the balls if you're boring. So please. Don't be boring. Think of the children!

P.P.S. - If your name is Joe and you aren't already my friend in real life, then I'm sorry but you are friend-rejected by default. I already have all the Joes I need in my life, and I doubt you could measure up to either of them anyway. .

Sympathy is one thing, but there's a reason Hallmark doesn't have a section for Empathy Cards.

A coworker's mother passed away over Christmas. The sympathy card was passed around for signing, and for a couple minutes the only thing I could think to write was, "I don't know what I'd do if I lost...

You ever cried and laughed at the same time? I don't mean laughing so hard that you start crying. I mean the opposite, actually, when a situation is just so ridiculous that you can't do anything but c...

Conclusion: Women are inherently just a little insane.

It's interesting, my mother's way of apologizing. Rather, it is interesting in that she doesn't apologize at all.She will flip out every once in a while over something I've said or done, completely de...
