I Love to Sing, Laugh and Dance! I read and hang with friends. I love to eat. Making dinner and hanging out with my gurls is my idea of a chill fuckin' time. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and some funds to provide me with somethin' to grind on. I listen to alot of Free Speech Radio. I am informed on issues, but I don't act. Fuck Hegemony!
Dead people!
The Blues, Jazz from any era, especially Cannonball Adderley, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, The Duke, Mingus, etc... "indie" as in Spoon, The Arcade Fire, "emo" as in Elliott Smith, Massive Attack, Hive, Unkle, Tricky, Amon Tobin, Old School Hip Hop and R&B, Oldies but Goodies, Buddy Holly, The Stones, Radiohead, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Lounge Music, Tome Jones, Jeff Buckley, Most of the Musicians I love are dead.
Old flicks like Hitchcock films, Charade, The way we were, Old musicals like Thoroughly Modern Millie or Funny Girl, Caberet, Sweeney Todd, Um... I love almost anythink that Tim Burton does (save Charlie and the Choco Factory, and Planet of the Apes was shit) I love John Waters, especially Serial Mom and Cry Baby. I love films that deal with gender issues such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert and The Rocky Horror Picture show, along with other more serious examinations of this profound issue. The secretary was very sexy. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Were the Buffalo Roam, Comedies such as Adam Sandler movies and other SNL folk (old school dudes like Chevy Chase and Bill Murray) Wes Anderson films, Kubrick, David Lynch um... Cheesy action flicks like the Die Hard and Lethal Weapon movies, even the Governator flicks! Eternail Sushine of the Spotless mind was beautiful.
I don't watch T.V
I just finished "Criminal of Poverty" by Lisa "Tiny" Grey Garcia which is a very intimate self portrait of a young woman's development as a poor individual in America. Very intense and eye opening. Just starting "Everything is Illuminated" by Jonathan Safran Foer.
