"Royalty-Bred... Realeza corre por mis venas (Royalty runs through my veins)." Such is one of the many thoughts in Hector "DJ_Papi's" mind derived after 21 + years of a life full of changes, challenges, obstacles, & success..... This young producer/DJ spent his early years in the suburbs of Mexico City. It was in the city venue known as "ciudadela" that Hector discovered his passion for music; Hector can still remember "el sabor, sonido, y sentimiento" (flavor, sound, and feeling) experienced in a city where you could not escape the diverse sounds such as the cuban-influenced "danzon" or the dominican "bachatas" ..... It was there at a small church that Hector quickly gains experience as a percussionist. At age 12, his life changes completely when he has to leave everything behind and move to the U.S. Having to start from scratch was not easy but after all very rewarding. He adapted to his new life in Atlanta and soon overcame the language barrier. Hector knew that challenges would keep coming, thus, he has never and will never stop dreaming and overcoming. It is in Atlanta where Hector starts working on projects such as "The_Lab" and keeping in mind the vision of helping young Latinos & other minorities overcome the struggles in an environment where "Freedom must be demanded by the oppressed..." Today, you may find Hector in his studio producing & mixing instrumentals from scratch such as "Genius" and "Beautifully remembered," or around his campus on the way to class, or perhaps performing around the city or at church praising God being a hot percussionist & one thing is certain "esto es solo el inicio" (this is just the beginning) of a succesfull career in which failure is not an option.uno**ALL GLORY BE GIVEN TO GOD**
