Not that I do not possess some measure of self-knowledge, independent of how others think of me, but just to clue you in my persona, let me list the nouns, adjectives and phrases that my friends and acquaintances have borrowed in their successful or failed attempts to surmise my character..1. my favorite--someone once said to me verbatim, You are the evil that breeds good.2. What I believe to be compliments ---smart, intelligent, intellectual, aware, penetrating, perceptive, deep, gorgeous, hot, linguistically talented, beautiful, adventurous, strong, fit, competent, insightful, introspective, responsible, independent, compassionate, empathetic, iconoclastic, irrepressible, discriminating, easy-going, low-maintenance, uninhibited, high-maintenance, down-to-earth, hard-working, practical, realistic, enigmatic, addictive, creative, genius, a complete package, loyal, dependable, unpretentious, genuine 3. I suspect the following to be insults at best---well, most are true, I have to admit. -hard to get to know, doesn't open up, selfish,senseless, self-absorbed spoiled, too-cynical, idealistic, (Well, Scratch a cynic, you will find a romantic.) moody, vicious, curt, arrogant(humility is a mental glitch and treatable affliction), blunt, disorganized, tactless, clumsy, judgmental, naive, stupid, irresponsible, disrespectful, downright defiant, wily, stubborn, high-maintenance destructive, pretentious, condescending, obtuse, linguistically gifted(a dubious compliment that discounts my painstaking efforts that I have put forth to achieve mastery of English, which is my second language; my native tongue is Korean)
