Chicken Legs

My daughter made me do it.

About Me

(Well, not "me" exactly, 'cause it's the daughter doing the writing [what can I say, I love my mom!] I'll write from her point-of-view, though.)I'm fun. I'm the life-of-the-party...literally. My friends and my children are my greatest loves. Interests? (See "Interests" section.)My nickname might be "Chicken Legs," but I'm a steak and potatoes kinda girl. In fact, I can safelyl say that is my absolute, favorite meal: A nice, juicy, medium-rare steak and a big, fat baked potato loaded in butter.Layout made by the_legend at CreateBlog.com .

My Interests

Travel -- I'm a flight attendant, but we don't get to actually see too much outside of airports and hotel rooms. I have been to China, Cancun, London, Amsterdam, and various cities throughout the U.S. & Canada. I've actually gotten to spend time in only a handful of those, but I'm always up for an adventure. Camping, Hiking, and, of course, Fishing -- Spent many a summer fishing off a pier in California with my dad. Never caught much of anything, but had a great time anyway. Don't have much time for camping these days, but spent many an evening under the stars with my kids when they were growing up.

I'd like to meet:

Well, I'd like to keep in touch with friends and family, via MySpace. I enjoy meeting new people, though the internet wouldn't exactly be my favorite place to do so, seeing as how there seems to be an irregular amount of wierdos around here. So, I guess I'd say that I just want to meet people who I can chat with and whose company, even if it's only via MySpace, is enjoyable.

Music:

Various 60's & 70's artists -- Peter, Paul, and Mary; Manheim Steamroller; some other people and bands, but my daughter has no idea what their names are; Josh Groban; Some country...Absolutely no rap, but I'm forced to listen to some of the "Boom-boom-boom" music when I ride in my daughter's car.

Movies:

Shawshank Redemption; Sleepless in Seattle; You've Got Mail; The Green Mile; An Affair to Remember; Anything by Alfred Hitchcock; The Spanish Main; Robin Hood (with Errol Flynn);...

Television:

Now or when I was growing up? Now: 24; Lifetime (don't knock it -- it's "television for women"); Then: The Lone Ranger,... (Daughter can't remember right now.)

Books:

Anything by James Patterson, Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton (sp?), Janet Evanovich...

Heroes:

My grandmother, Rosa Parks, and any other woman who's stood up for what they believed in even if it wasn't a popular idea at the time.
