Day Of Rising are four guys who, like almost every band, started playing together to escape the boredom in their hometown of Castellón, Spain. After playing countless gigs on their own (first locally and later all over Spain) they started supporting bigger national and international bands, sharing the stage with bands like Further Seems Forever and Last Days Of April while building a solid fan base and receiving praises from Spain's biggest music magazines such as Rockzone and Mondosonoro. At the end of 2005 Day Of Rising recorded a 5-track EP and were invited by MTV to perform an acoustic set, all while still unsigned.
In January 2006, driven by their ambition, they took a decision: to leave everything behind and move to London to make themselves a name in the UK music scene. In 2007, after a year spent playing constantly and establishing themselves, they released Unmasking St. Minver, the 5-track EP they recorded in 2005, on UK label Punktastic Recordings, receiving great reviews from the UK music media.
During 2007, they also toured all over the UK, sharing the stage with the best up and coming bands around, and also supporting bigger UK bands such as Furthest Drive Home and Elliot Minor. In August the band recorded some new songs with producer Lester Woodward at Ignition Studios in London. In September, Dani left the band to pursue other interests and Nik Parkinson (who they met at Ignition studios in July) joined the band as their new bass player.
Nowadays, Day Of Rising (with Dani back in the band) are back in their Spanish hometown writing songs for what will be their debut album, which they hope to release before the end of the year both in Spain and the UK.
