You can fight it if it doesn't kill you. You can fight it . . . if you want to fight.

About Me

I love pasta. I would enjoy hanging out with dolphins. Spiders scare the hell outta me. Corduroy is not only a cool fabric, but also a great first-name. I am forty books with no ending in sight. I'm tired of being me and I'd like a permanent vacation.

My Interests

Motorcycles...Touring, Roadracing (on racing circuits, NOT public roads!), reading about them, riding them...everything.Guitars - Collecting, playing, listening to, looking at, reading about...again, everything about them.Photography - Look for my motorsports photgraphy in Roadracing World magazine.Reading - Love to read. Fiction, non-fiction, old, new, high literature, low escapism...doesn't matter.Computers & technology - I'm a geek, what can I say?Traveling - everywhere and everywhen is always better than the there and now.

I'd like to meet:

Carl Fogarty, Stephen Hawking, Ben Folds, Steve Jobs, Andy Rooney, Kurt Vonnegut, Lisa Loeb, Valentino Rossi, Ashrita Furman, Augusten Burroughs, ...oh, there's a great many people, I suppose. But I'd like most to meet them at the same time - everyone seated around an enormous dinner table, or perhaps seated in groups at smaller tables, and made to change tables with each new course. Something like that.

Music:

Feable Weiner, Weezer, Phantom Planet, Jobim/Getz/Gilberto, the Posies, Superdrag, Ben Folds (Five), Fountains of Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Jason Falkner, Metallica, Self, Van Halen, John Coltrane, Gigolo Aunts, Incubus, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, The Cardigans, The Beatles, America, Ash, Billy Joel, Better Than Ezra, Blur, Brendan Benson, Coldplay, Matthew Sweet, Lisa Loeb, Metallica, the list goes on . . .

Movies:

The Princess Bride, Singles, The Muppet Movie, The Godfather, The Graduate, Office Space, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, yada yada yada . . .

Television:

Honestly, I quit watching TV on a regular basis about 3 years ago. Although, if I were to start that nasty habit again, I'd watch The Sopranos, MotoGP racing, AMA Superbike racing, The Simpsons, and Jeopardy.

Books:

Ernest Hemmingway, Orson Scott Card, Kurt Vonnegut, Robert Jordan, Isaac Asimov, Douglas Adams, David Sedaris, Robert Heinlein, Clive Cussler, Tom Clancy...anything you put in front of me, really.

HOLY SHIT!

I just came home to find a *HUGE* Black Widow spider on my front door. It lives in a gap at the base of the molding around my door. Fuck. (Yes, I mean BIG.)

Is that so?

Meh. The sentiment was right but the expression thereof was really quite apalling. I have neither the motivation nor the inclination to re-compose, so I'm just going to spend some time engrossed in qu...
