In a scene that has been lacking some of its ‘fun’ element for several years, it is refreshing to see a dj breaking through who isn’t afraid to try something different. As a young child Andy has always had an ear for music with music feeding through the generations of his family. Having had piano lessons at a young age and teaching himself guitar in his early teens, Andy finally settled on dj’ing and acquired his first set of decks at the age of 16. This passion for music followed on through college where he studied a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology and through this gained an opportunity to promote a midweek Hard Dance Night in Blackpool. Thus bringing some of the brightest up and coming talent at the time to the sometimes dull seaside resort.Over the next year or so Andy spent most weekends playing various events across the North West – Toast’s Good Greef Pre Party’s , Binary & Exodus to name a few. Andy got his first real opportunity after receiving an email from Will Paterson requesting to hear a cd, which came from reading a few kind words from Andy Whitby in his interviews.Coming up to the present day after grasping the opportunity from Will, Andy has gained respect inside the scene playing at events such as Frantic, Tasty, Parlez Vous?, Peach Goes Hard, Cyberkitten and has also played on tour nights with Cyberkitten with Lashed, Tidy vs Extreme Euphoria, Storm, Polysexual & Heat. He even got the chance to play at The Hell’s Angels Biker festival The Bulldog Bash. Andy ended 2006 gaining residency at Cyberkitten, becoming the winner of the Parlez Vous? & Biscuit Monster Dj competition and kicking off his production career with four releases over both Vinyl & Digital download.Andy is a very versatile Dj who is as comfortable playing chunky groovy warm-ups as apposed to a late night Nrg set. The one thing that makes Andy different to other dj’s is his way he scratch’s, chop’s, cut’s and crash’s his way through a set.
