Okay lovely people- i think an update is waay overdue so.... After graduating from High School in Germany, I moved to the A-town for college. I wasn't really feeling Spelman all that hard, and for a long time I sort of hated on the entire experience, but at this point I am far enough removed to appreciate the many wonderful (witty and gorgeous) womyn I met there. I met a few cool guys at 'tha house' too. And in the AUC in general. Perhaps the best side-effect of attending that school though was just that it brought me to my new home. Wow- as an army brat it feels kinda crazy to consider one city 'home' but Atlanta has anchored me. There is something in the water. SO i made some great friends and became a part of this amazing glimpse in time that was the neo-soul/deep-house-underground-nightlife-experience. You had to be there. We lurked in dark corners, we climaxed to analog arrangements of sound, we lost ourselves and then found eachother. I met some amazing people, most of whom I still proudly claim as family. Somewhere in the big blur of it all I met my spiritpartner. We recognized eachother instantly but took our time getting acquianted. Now, seven years later we have just welcomed our baby boy into this experience. YES IT'S TRUE PIPER AND CHAZ HAD A BABY! It all happened so fast, we found out we were preggers, i got accepted to Law School, we moved to NJ (blech!- only for school folks-not for long, not forever) and fond some midwives and just over four months ago he made his debut. I'll blog about it soon. And now I've changed my 'Someday' to 'Proud Parent'. So his name is Che', after my favorite person ever. Ha! Not Guevara (though he's cool, too), but my one and only, amazing fantasmical brother. - see heroes- So the kid is*** Che' Pax Lovemore ***and he's the most mellow, intelligent lovemuffin I've ever had. ;-) And there it is. I just finished my first year of Law School. Holler if you are coming up to the big apple, we're here, though I prefer peaches myself. Life is good. Stay tuned for photos...
