I'm different, just like everybody else.

About Me

Well, I'm a nerd and a slow learner, but once I get something (which I usually do eventually) it stays. I'm happy to say that I finally figured out what I'm going to do with my life. I've been in college since high school(1999). I know, I need to get out. Almost there! I started college not knowing what I was going to do, so I changed my mind practically weekly. Let's see, there was environmental scientist, interior decorator, teaching sixth grade, librarian, ornithologist, entomologist, and now that it's crunch time, high school biology. Since I'm not bad at this biology thing and almost have a biology degree under my belt (something I never thought possible back in the day), I toyed with the idea of continuing on to grad school and possibly getting a PhD in ornithology or some sort of environmental-ecology thing, but truth is, I'm tired of studying my butt off and being in debt. So I plan on starting the credential program here in Chico next fall. Other than that, O-chem, running, wine tasting, rock climbing, getting paid to sort insects, being a good friend, and getting prepared for the credential program is my life right now, which I'm quite happy with. Teaching would be exactly the life style I want. Those summers "off" would give me the opportunity to do seasonal field work anywhere I want to go. Or they could just be off. A break sounds nice!
