I graduate in ninety-nine days!

About Me

I am a Biology major at Chico State. I have lived in Chico all my life. Yes, I like living here. Yes, my family still lives here. Yes, there are mad parties here all the time. No, I do not spend all free time in a drunken stupor (see first sentance).I like to ski. I like snow. I hate cold. I love the sun. And the beach, which is not nearly close enough. I like to learn things and tell other people about them, whether or not they want to know it. I like to read. I watch to much T.V. My music tastes are random at best, unrefined at worst. I forget about things like car maintainance, but have a million complaints about my car.I would like to help those who cannot help themselves. I would like to see humanity have less of an impact on the world. I would like to leave something for others to remember-not to remember me, but something that they can look back on and enjoy.

My Interests

Bugs, Birds, animals, flowers, pictures... good thing I want to do field studies! I also enjoy skiing, hiking, backpacking, photography, and the Braves. I used to watch the OAKLAND A's in a West Coast pinch (because I like to see the Giants LOSE), but I am not sure about this whole move to Fremont. Come on, the Fremont A's? I don't think so.

I'd like to meet:

Ernst Mayr, Stephen J. Gould, Alfred Russel Wallace. Don't know what it means-figure it out for yourself!

Music:

Gretchen Wilson, Gorillaz, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, BEP, James Blunt, Jack Johnson, The Fray, Gnarls Barkley, The Killers, Imogen Heap, Snow Patrol, Panic at the Disco, The Wreckers, and Evanescence.

Movies:

I think the last movie I saw in the theaters was Pirates (OTC of course, get your mind out of the gutter!). The last movie I watched was V for Vendetta in honor (but a few days late) of Guy Fawkes Day. I think the last movie that I watched to the end of was Narnia. And the last movie I watched start to finish without stopping it for extended periods of time was Ice Pirates (A good example of why drugs are bad, m-kay).

Television:

When I have time- Law and Order:SVU, CSI, Without a Trace, Everwood, House, The O.C., Grey's Anatomy, That 70's Show, The Simpson's, Family Guy, Futurama, Invader Zim, and South Park can all entertain me for quite some time. But usually I watch the news. And Wheel. And Jeopardy.

Books:

Michael Crichton, James Patterson, all the Harry Potter books, any kind of Field ID book.I just got a new birding book AND an ID book on nestlings, nests, and eggs! I can't wait to take it out this week and ID some nests (now is a good time to look at nests because there are no leaves on the trees, and no birds in the nest)
