Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he attended the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University during his high school years. He studied jazz at Berklee College of Music in Boston and classical performance at the University of Memphis and Chapman University where he received a Bachelor of Music degree. He earned his masters degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.Michael has performed throughout the U.S., China, Germany and France. He has received numerous awards, including the National Collegiate Music Award, Whos Who Among American Universities & Colleges and the National Deans List.Currently, Michael is principal flutist for the Southeast Symphony of Los Angeles and is a session player in L.A. and Nashville.
