Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength - Dalai Lama

About Me

My name is Dayo, and I'm the head instructor at The Toronto Hapkido Academy (www.torontohapkido.com). We are a martial arts family offerring comprehensive self defense instruction in the art of HAPKIDO, with a vision to serve the Toronto community by sharing the benefits of Hapkido in a positive, fun, and friendly martial arts environment.
Martial arts training provides a personal adventure into positive change; and a unique approach to physical and mental discipline through self defense and fitness training. In addition to this, Hapkido training helps to remove the fear of vulnerability and instill a better sense of confidence, body awareness, and of self-control.
We are an affiliate of the Korea Hapkido Federation and a branch school of the Kyung Moo Kwan Hapkido system headed by Grandmaster Kim, Nam Jae of Seoul, South Korea. I am a personal student of Kim, Nam Jae; currently ranked as a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido, and a certified KHF Hapkido instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience.

My Interests
