Upbeat melodic rock for fans of guitar solos

About Me

Hi there, welcome to my artist page on myspace. I really appreciate you stopping by and checking me out!
A few things about me: I am a self-taught guitarist and songwriter from Silver Spring, Maryland, which is located in the Washington, D.C. area. I also sing and play drums, bass and keyboards. My music is influenced largely by classic and progressive rock bands, especially the ones I've listed as influences.
I am currently writing and recording original songs for my first solo CD, tentatively titled "Renaissance." My goal is a CD of well-crafted rock songs with a progressive influence. These songs will relate personal stories and reflections which are intended to convey a universal message. "A Song" and, more recently, "Not Fade Away" are two singles from this CD.
Click the link below for a high audio-quality version of "A Song" on iTunes:
Please bear with me, as finishing the rest of the songs on my CD will take time. :-)
As the holidays of 2006 drew nearer, I felt inspired to write a cover arrangement of a Christmas song. The result of that inspiration is "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." I've decided to leave this song on my profile page because it has gotten such a warm reception from listeners like You.
Enough about me. To all of You who have used one of my songs as your profile song, I want you to know that it is tremendously kind of you to do that! If you are already my myspace friend, then I've put you in my top friends.
Stay tuned for more songs as they are completed...

What band can party harder than Van Halen?

In the early evening of November 1st, a sense of excitement seemed to fill the air of downtown D.C., in spite of the usual grueling rush hour traffic.  And for a good reason, because Van Halen wa...

How I arranged "A Song"

As I was writing the music for "A Song," I was composing it by ear, so to speak.  When I later looked up the chord charts, they turned out to be just a bit more involved than I thought. ...

Rush's new album Bites like a Snake and Pierces like an Arrow

Well, maybe not so literally.  Still, the CD cover image, an ancient Indian game about self-knowledge represented by Snakes and Arrows, is apt for the subject matter.  The sequence of songs ...
