The Dullards

Rainy days are like methadone

About Me

Based in the U.S. capital, The Dullards write songs about staring out the car window and not getting very far, riding in the back seat of your life, and comparing rainy days to methadone. The band strives for simplicity and straight-forwardness, hoping that their songs might every once-in-a-while provoke the listener to think, "yeah, that happened to me too."

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: thedullards.com
Band Members: Alistair (Vox, Bass, & Guitar), Guy (Vox, Guitar, & Lap Steel), and Greg Austin(Drums & Egg Shaker).
Influences: A few highlights: Coffee, the Premiership (Go you Spurs), En-ga-land, peer-pressure, Scandinavian women, nuclear non-proliferation, golf, Austin, Nashville, and barrel rides. Also: Stones, Faces, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, WILCO, Paul Weller, and ik ben.
Sounds Like: A sort of twangy-rock concoction with occassional Brit-pop leanings. Essentially, this music creates images of moving, or driving, or walking down a steaming ashphalt road, staring up into the sun, or at the stars, and contemplating why.
