Ancient religious studies
Since I was 13 & settled on Druidism...later finding out my ancestors followed the same path...in fact one was an elder in his clan-or the equivalent of a High Priest.
My family
Can mostly just bite me.
My friends
I mean the ones I know I can count on who are more than just fleeting people in my life. My true friends may be freaks but I love them even more for that fact. They are like me & we understand each other. Remember-fleeting can happen in a day or 10 years, but in the end you know the difference. Im wondering just who those people are now too. It seems no matter where I turn theres no one there who can just BE there for me and not argue, just have a little compassion.
My pets
I love them! They don't play games, they don't lie, cheat or steal. They are always there for me when I just desperately need someone who actually does care. They are really the best!
Writing & Reading
I have been working on my first novel over the past year & must say it is a lot harder than I suspected originally. I get the ideas from my life and well, when my life is moving at a snail's pace there's not much inspiration, yet when it's speeding by there's no time to write. It is a double-edged sword.I have also been meeting a bunch of new people lately, which alone shows that my mood has improved. When in a funk I get really antisocial, but not now...no.
People Who Aren't Just Out To Hurt Me.
People Who Would Just Listen Without Judgement.

They say music soothes the savage soul. However, most of what I listen to simply awakens that savagery. Life gets more interesting that way!
Often times it feels like my life IS a bad, b-rated, low-budget, movie and I keep waiting for the director to yell "CUT! And thats a wrap!" Yet that never comes, so I continue on, trying to find the things that make life more to smile about. I have been a bit more upbeat lately even...
If I have the time, I watch mostly learning channels such as the History Channel, National Geographic, etc. I also like science shows that are silly like Myth Busters. I also love specials on anything ancient (mostly Celtic and Egyptian), animals, or about outer-space. I also have all the released seasons of a few shows like Dark Angel & 24. I'm waiting for Rome to return to HBO since I watched the 1st season & loved it!
I love to learn, so I'm very into books about those things that get me interested, concentrating, & really thinking in general, such as life in ancient times (especially in the Celtic lands & Egypt), true crime, animals... I also read psychological thrillers & general fiction. I love a good book I end up staying up all night for because I can't put it down. My favorite authors are (but not limited to): Marian Zimmer Bradley (I have a small, hand-typed book titled "The Jewel of Arwen" by Bradley & Tolkien, which I love), Bret Easton Ellis, Thomas Harris, E.A. Poe...& for shorter stories, Ethan Hawke (yes, the actor...he writes good books).
I'm also writing a book of my own-a psychological thriller. I can't give too many details about that (wouldn't want to kill the suspense even before I'm done writing it) on here. Suffice it to say, it's coming along at what, to me, is a slow but steady pace. I do have a publisher (Okay, most likely. No papers have been signed, nor money changed hands, but I have been working with the same group since I submitted my treatment & a few sample chapters to them & they said they love what they've seen & would like to be the publishers for it when I'm done) & have started fine-tuning the 5 chapters I have so far so I can move on to chapter 6. It's a highly tedious task because I'm a total perfectionist when it comes to anything I do involving the creative process. We shall see!
Uhhh..............
