Pete Koeplin

In a nutshell: I'm a father of two boys, husband, drummer, Massachusetts liscenced construction supervisor, Covenant,LLC employee, finish carpenter, home owner, Christian, cook, skateboarder, woods walker, bicycle mechanic, music fan, concert goer, movie buff, dog owner, good listener, teacher, and friend. My childhood was happy with a big loving family, Catholic church and CCD on Sundays, and lots of cartoons. When I was younger I remember climbing trees, Singing Beach, Canobie Lake park, and grade school. I started listening to Kiss, Def Leppard, and Run-DMC, while my parents listened to The Beatles, Paul Simon, and Chicago. Then as a teen I was breakdancing, dating, bmx biking, skateboarding, gradually going alternative in my style. My first steady job was cooking and dishes at the Beach Street Cafe with my cousins. I started playing drums at age 13 and did the Jazz band at MHS. My first band was a metal band from Hamilton-Wenham called LASOMN. I got booted from that band (bad tempo, not serious enough) and then started a harcore band called Flipside which was too short lived. I graduated high school in the class of '92 and had a kick ass summer. In March '93 I left UMASS Amherst for a shoegazing pop band on Caroline Records called drop nineteens which took me as far as Switzerland, UK, and Lollapalooza '93. After that year I continued to play heavily in the northshore/Boston scene with a wide varitey of players for the following 8 years, I still play today though my focus is my family. For the past 14 years I've been developing my skills as a carpenter which is now my full time career, spiritual guidance, and second art form. Today my wife and kids are my everything and my center, and I love coming home.
