About Me

I'm pretty sure my televised performance career began with an appearance as a member of a kazoo orchestra on The Bozo Show while in grade school in Nashville. A longtime multi-instrumentalist, my favorite new thing is the pedal steel guitar. Along with vocals, I enjoy guitar, 5-string banjo, bass, octave mandolin, keyboards and drums. The songs posted here will continue to rotate through the gazillions of hours of recordings I've made with beautiful musicians around the world, or myself, multitracked.I'm currently playing pedal steel (or banjo or singing) with the Birdwatchers of America, Los Hijos Unicos, Sam Wheeler, etc. In the Evil Circus, I play steel, guitar, bass, keyboards and kid's toys.I spent a year on steel, banjo, and singing with Uncle Shaker.I helped run a weekly open mike with Roze 'n Jim from the MERJ, backing up a wide crew of singer/songwriters on steel and vocals, including a 6-hr. marathon Paddy's day gig. I played steel many mondays with Dan King's Soul Shakedown at the Rhumb Line in Gloucester. On pedal steel, I have also recorded and/or appeared live with Versed, the Whiskey Giants, the Vinyl Squares, Oneside, Dearborn Valley, Sharecropper, the Steve Walther Orchestra, What Time is it Mr. Fox?, Kevin Doherty (youtube's Muthafudgical), Mike McDonald, Paul Senn, Delvis, Paul Cataldo, Steve Spungin, Jon Waterman, The Rebel Riders, and Bill Ross's Move Over.I played banjo with hot rod accordian polka group The Lune, and I played banjo and bass and sang six nights a week for eight months in a Dixieland band in Taipei, Taiwan. During that same year I was invited by the Irish Embassy (Trade Mission) in Taipei to play British Isles Folk for their St. Patrick's Day celebration.Peace, y'all. independent measures -- Birdwatchers of America Birdwatchers of America-Save the Berlin Wall Committee live Evil Circus- Sketches Of An Afternoon
