New 2008 Goals:
1. Live in Moderation: The Buddhist believe that the way to salvation is to do everything in moderation and by doing so, one becomes free from desire. I think its time that i live my life in moderation, it just feels like the right thing to do.
2. Continuous Daily Improvements: The Japanese believe in Kaizen, which means the pursuit of perfection in all that one does, through continuous, small improvements. The idea is to continuouly evaluate yourself and your actions, then eliminate that which is unnecessary and improve what is necessary.
3. Financial Independence: I want to control my own destiny, to make my own decisions, and to not be restrained by money. I want to develop a sustainable asset base so that i dont have to work anymore and could spend my time traveling the world.
4. Become someone elses desire: I want to be admired; i want to be lusted over; and i want to be desired. I am no longer going to be the seaker of truth and love. Instead, i will let truth and love seak me.
I love animals:
I have a female cat named Pumpkin. We found her on Halloween night many years ago when I was living at home. She has been a long time companion of mine who I spoil so much that girlfriends have been known to be jealous over her.
I am also an avid tropical fish lover and have two large aquariums. Shubunkin Goldfish, Koi and Siamese Fighting Fish are my favorite.
I enjoy Starbucks and small cafe's:
I like hanging out at small coffee shops and people watching; or reading a book. My favorite Starbucks drink would be an iced grande cafe mocha with non-fat milk and without whip cream. Recently, i spiced the mix up by adding Hazelnut. OMG, it taste so good!
I enjoy family owned restaurants:
I am not much of a mainstream eater; and i dont really like franchise eateries, like Outback Steakhouse or Macaroni Grill. If i am going to spend money on a meal, then i want something that is unique, full of flavor and memorable. So i lean towards small, family owned restaurants. I do, however, love eating at PF Chang's China Bistro, and Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant; even though they are franchises.
I enjoy cooking:
Cooking is another passion of mine and I love to make a mess in the kitchen. For awhile I had followed an organic, mostly raw food, vegetarian lifestyle. But, now i am open to trying anything. Some of my favorite dishes include Eggplant Parmesan, Sushi, Mangolian Beef, and New Orleans Oyster Po-Boys
I enjoy bars and clubs:
I enjoy Tiki bars which offer an early weekend morning atmosphere that involves caribean music, tropical drinks and beautiful women in bikini’s. One of my favorites is the Tiki Bar in Islamorada Key. I also enjoy Piano bars, specifically those bars with dueling piano’s or bars that allow the crowd to sing along. I also enjoy Country bars, Goth and Fetish clubs, Metal and Rock clubs, Jazz and Blues clubs, Latin salsa clubs etc.
I enjoy sporting events:
Asside from the Superbowl or Stanley Cup playoffs, I don’t watch sports on TV. However, I do enjoy attending sporting events. While I was living in Connecticut I was an avid spectactor with season tickets to the New England Patriots (pro-Football). While I was living in Rochester NY I also enjoyed season tickets to the Rochester Rhino’s (pro-Soccer) while attending the occasional Buffalo Sabres (pro-Hockey) and Buffalo Bills (pro-Football) game. Now that I live in south Florida, I am interested in getting season tickets to the Miami Dolphins (pro-Football) and Florida Panthers (pro-Hockey) games.
I enjoy playing sports:
Playing team sports was an integral part of my childhood. I also enjoy playing sports including baseball, ice hockey and street hockey. I enjoy playing beach volleyball, Paintball, Tennis and Golf. I have been doing Martial Arts for almost 20 years and have several black belts and a few dozen color belts in different systems. Currently, i am studying Kendo and Iaido, the japanese art of swordsmanship.
I enjoy traveling:
I enjoy driving to the Florida Keys on a weekend, even if it’s just a one-day trip to watch the sunset. I love the changing seasons and look forward to the holidays as an opportunity to visit new places and meet new people. Some of my favorite past-times include spending summers in Newport Rhode Island where the wealthy play with their sailboats and where you can visit the many Victoria-style mansions and take a leasurely bike ride along the coastline. Spending Halloween in Salem Massachusetts where some of the influential homes host large Halloween Ball’s and Costume Parties that are open to the general public. Spending the fall in Vermont at the Van Trappe Lodge which is run by the family whose story was portrayed in the famous musical “Sound of Musicâ€, not forgetting visits to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory and Santa’s Village. Spending Christmas week in New York City where one can do holiday shopping on Christmas eve, watch the performance of “A Christmas Carol†or “The Rockettes†and ice skate at Rockefeller Center under a blanket of stars. Spending spring in the French Quarter of New Orleans where some of the most incredible restaurants exist and where one can find some of the rarest antiques to purchase, besides the normal nightlife and partying that occurs 24x7. There are so many amazing and incredible places to see.
I love to learn new things:
I dont know why, but ever since i was a kid I enjoyed learning new things. I think this is partially related to my strong Japanese cultural beliefs which lead me to Kaizen, or continuous daily improvements in everything i do. As a result, i consider myself extremely diverse, understanding and accepting of others.
Im not much for linguistics, but i did take 2 years of spanish, 1 year of french, 1 year of russian, 1 year of mandarin chinese and 1 year of japanese. But, without regular practice, these are skills people easily lose. I can still read and understand some stuff from these languages. But, cant speak them proficiently.
I have extensive training in technical diving, military rebreathers and deep water operations.
I'd like to meet:
I am looking to find Love: I am looking for the Girlfriend Experience. That all elusive person who completes me. I am interested in meeting ladies who are passionate, visionary and enjoy the finer things that life has to offer. But, i am not interested in people who are materialistic or conceited.
I am looking to establish New Friendships: I would be interested in developing friendships with people who are interested in adventure, road trips, travel, nightlife and other interests i may describe throughout my profile.
I am looking for Business and Investment Opportunities: I am an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. I am interested in meeting persons with sound investment opportunities, business startups or franchises.
