Bullet for my Valentine Biography!

These heirs to the metal thrones of mighty Iron Maiden have had a bumpy ride on the road to where they are now.They initially struggled to find success, and tensions arose when other Welsh bands such as Lost Prophets and Funeral For A Friend were getting noticed and gradually becoming more popular. When it came to the band recording a demo, things didn't go as well as planned and the original bass player, Nik Cradle, quit a day before they were due to record. The band couldn't get it together to record a demo, and subsequently split up. However despite this, they did get back together and they found a new bassist in the form of Jason 'Jay' James. With a new bassist on board they set about finding a name for the band.This changed numerous times, from "12 Pints of my Girl Friends Blood" to"Jeff Killed John" then "Opportunity in Chicago", then subsequently to "Bullet For My Valentine". The band later signed a deal with Sony via Visible Noise in the UK in October 2004. For many people,it is still hard to believe how far Bullet have come in their career so far.Eight years ago no one knew who they were or even cared about them, a change of bass player later they now have one successful debut album under their belts. They have already supported the likes of metal Gods Chimaira, Metallica and Guns N Roses in the past 18 months and we only expect things to get better from here. Bullet for my valentine's fans will always be loyal followers of them, for their sheer hard work and determination. They will always love them for taking time out, no matter how busy they are to pose for a picture or just sign an autograph. Just don't expect them to be supporting any indie bands any time soon; "We're proud to say that there isn't a single indie band in South Wales," says guitarist Michael 'Padge 'Paget. "I don't see how a band can stand there for 40minutes and just sing bollocks. What's the point? It's about putting on a show!"
