BUY MY SONGS NOW!!!! - - - - .......................................................WWW.R AYISAAC.COM................................................. ...........RAY ISAAC'S inception into the orbit of song writing during his youth is as a consequence of his passion for early 80s music, which monopolised music charts at a time where ostentatious fashion and appearances saturated the minds of fashionistas and die-hard music enthusiastists. As a songwriter, his desire to intoxicate people with his words materialised when the unfortunate death of a close relative urged Ray to express his anguish in a song he penned, titled Goodbye Innocence. Lyrically, the song is stocked with pain, love and redemption words that often describe the spiritual direction of Rays own brand of pop-infused soul. The balance between motivation and fear and awkwardness was highly functional and allowed Ray to soar beyond his own expectations. It was at this point that his fear soon faded into the rear view mirror and he realised that its only purpose was to show him what he needed to do next. This need became all-consuming and brought this introspective 22-year old to his next endeavour. This is just how he is, very all or nothing. What had emerged was the desire to perform and be in control, he knew he would suddenly ignite and we as listeners would be invited into the world he created - a warm and beautiful, yet technicolour place.Ray has a great love for sound, lyric, performing arts and of course, moment - culminating in the expression of emotions. The buzzing sensation he senses at these pivotal moments appear - as he illustrates - like sound waves that enter his being and exit like volts of energy. Whoa! is just that - it brims with character and candour and morphs into what is a quick-witted pop milieu reminiscent of the early 80s influenced self-effacing compositions. Meanwhile, Freaky Tonight builds its narrative with scenes of gentle yet raw insight and modest discovery. The lyrics set off waif-like and vulnerable however they swiftly shift into hyper-sexual mode in which he discloses to his suitor, I just want to be your slave tonight.Even from his earliest days Ray was immersed in his craft, recalling that he too mimicked the music videos of Madonna and Michael Jackson at the age of five. With fundamental training at Brent Street Performing Arts School and The Actors Pulse, Ray acquired invaluable knowledge and experience. Reflecting on the impressive variety of roles hes landed - from Richard Rich in A Man for all Seasons (2004) to a plethora of characters in Bye Bye Birdie (2002) - Rays authoritative singing and performance serves to enhance the stunning realisation of his knowledge and commitment to his art. Its not accidental that he effortlessly navigates between music and acting and yet maintains his professional integrity. To save the world from its vacuousness and create a cacophony of infectious and shimmering power, I Dont Give A Damn - featured in Ministry of Sound Sessions 2006 - strumpets through the strangulating confines of genre and sounds like a redux lesson in all that is good about pop music. The track - a collaborative effort of Isaac and Nick Jay - has worked, with high rotation on radio even without independent release. Musically, I Dont Give A Damn - re-planned and remixed by Goodwill, Goodyear, Dirt Brothers and Groove Hunter - shifts between tennis-racket-in-the-mirror and a chic style funkathon in one flick. Not tainted by his desire to forge on vicariously and impress both the media and himself, Rays Las Vegas bravado and his cocksure swagger will cement his place in the ever-changing orbit in which he has an insatiable hunger for, yet still avoiding contained statements of boundaries. Soon the buzz surrounding Ray will become a roar.
