Detroit has now found it's flava! Dantana born Brandon Harris, began writing music at the tender age of 14. His musical influence came from a record shop called Katacomb Records, which was owned by his mother and father in the early 1980's. Dantana grew up in a small neighborhood named Conant -Gardens, in Detroit, MI where he battled fellow neighborhood friends like Slum Village, J-Dilla and others. In 1991 Dantana hooked up with long time friend and producer Myke Moov and began to record history. Dantana, Myke Moov along with a younger Al-Nuke started "Talk Lyke Sexx",that group would set a trend like no other in Detroit at that time, opening doors for many others to come.Talk Lyke Sexx also originated "open mic " in Detroit ,thanks to Myke -Moov "open mic nite at the mix cocktail lounge" which featured such acts as, PROOF(D-12), LaRocko Tee(formaly of Def Jam), DJ Head,and many others.Dantana is a strong pioneer in the game opening up for such acts as JAY-Z, Run D.M.C, Ludacris, Mystikal,8 Ball & MJG,Trick Daddy and now the co-owner of Black Sole Muzik Entertainment/GATORTOWN RECORDS. Dantana has released three underground solo singles and an "ep" entitled "Can't Stop Wont Quit" with Reo da 3rd on Re-Cop Records,and appeared in the the Streetlife Documentary(50,000 units sold),BLUE LEMONADE is the upcoming solo from Dantana,he produced more than 50 percent of the album himself,you can also see him in the upcoming movie 17000 BLOCK.
