About Me
I apologize if I come off as lazy for not having a fancy worded bio, but I believe writing from the heart instead of the from the mind...writing what you feel, instead of what you think is always more RESPECTable. -Chapter I- I'm an 18 year old "street reporter" from QUEENS. before I continue, you'll soon begin to notice I like to capitalize words that mean something to me. being a "street reporter" is probably the hardest job in the world. many times you find yourself not only "reporting" what you've witnessed, but also "reporting" what you've EXPERIENCEd. it's kind of like snitching on yourself. so I guess you can say I started snitching on myself at the age of 11, although at that age my "street reports" were more about what I've witnessed. for the first 4 years of my career as a "street reporter", I kept my "reports" to myself. I knew I was wack, I didn't need anybody telling me that. but more than anything, I didn't want anyone to hear me till I was 100% comfortable with "reporting". the better I got, the better the feedback, and the level of confidence increased dramatically. -Chapter II- my first recording session took place at a friend's house...all we had was a computer, a computer MIC, and a 60 second recording program that came with the computer. that was the day I began to share my "street reports" with the world. everytime the 60 seconds were up, we would have to hit the record button (like 3 or 4 times) as fast as we could to record one full song. it was funny cause you could clearly hear the gaps in the playback. I didn't know what doubles were, I didn't know what ad-libs were, and I could careless how bad the finished product sounded, I was just happy to have my VOICE on cd. -Chapter III- throughout the years I've recorded in many different studios but never really felt comfortable. that's when i met D'Andre of NBND. his appearance fooled me, I would've never thought he could sing. I jumped in his Max and gave him a cd with this track I did featuring my nigga Rio. if I'm not mistaken he pulled the song back like 10 times before telling me "...that shit is hot...". he took me to NaLo's crib and introduced me. there I met Money Matt, Alex with the eyes, and like 3 other heads. niggas aint waste no time, all I remember was a beat started leaking through the speakers and NaLo (of NBND) telling me "...let me hear something...", so what you think I did?...I let'em hear something. we had a CIPHER going for like 3 hours, I kid you not, we ran through like 5 different INSTRUMENTAL cd's...shit was crazy. you know those moments in life when you wish you had a video camera?...that was one of those moments...CLASSIC. -Chapter IIII- a couple days later, early one morning my jack chirped...it was D'Andre. times were hard so I could only afford a boost mobile at the time, lmao. I don't remember the conversation word for word, all I know is it was short and bout music. he scooped me up about a half hour after hanging up with him. we went to his crib where I met his lil' brother ALEmix. ALEmix...I'ma get back to ALEmix in a later chapter. they had a mic hooked up to the computer with cool edit pro (the bootleg version) to record. D'Andre came out his own pocket for all the equipment. he started skipping through instrumentals and told me to stop him if I hear something I like. I recorded about 8 tracks that day. the next morning he hit me up again and asked me something like "...you out of gas, or you think you could go a couple more laps..." my response was something like "...out of gas?!? nigga I was just warming the engine up..." I layed down like another 8 tracks that day as well. do the math...about 16 tracks in 2 days..."hungry" isn't the word. -Chapter V- with all these songs being generated by the Team, it was only right we put out a compilation cd for the listeners. so we released an underground version of our first mixtape "A Couple More Days". D'Andre bought about 100 blanks with cases and printed out the black and white covers himself. the cover simply read "Team V - A Couple More Days". what's funny is, the font he used for the cover made the "V" look like a "U". so we had to use a sharpie to make every "U" look like a "V", lol...our IMPROVIZING is crazy, lol. we had about 20 songs on the mixtape by Dre (now known as D'Andre Stephens), BG (now known as NaLo B), T.O. (now known as Tyon Prinze), MV, ALEmix, Deecie, Blaq, Young Money (now known as Money Matt), and of course...your's truly...E-Wicked (now known as Eric Sosa). even though the sound quality was horrible on most of the songs and we only had about 100 copies, I can't explain how excited we were to even have a mixtape to give out. I don't like to say "movement", cause it seems like every up and coming artist has a "movement". but it is what it is...that was the begining...the begining of Team V's movement. to be continued...
