Wutz really good it'z ya boy Tha M.E.L. aka 'Tha Infamous' Mel-Nasty aka Mr. Big and Black aka Pittsburgh but betta known as Tha Maverick Eva' Livin'. I'm 25 years "young" and i'm an emcee/producer. I've been in the game for 14 years steady on my grind trying to get known. I started off singing when I was 6 in Pittsburgh (412 STAND UP!!) in my church choir. About 2 years later I moved to Allentown (610 HOLLA). All through elementry school I was trying to figure out what I was going to do. In the 5th grade I joined the school chorus as well as the all-star singing group. I continued singin' thru 6th grade in school choruses, but at the same time I was startin' to rap. By the time I was in 7th grade I left singing behing and took rap more seriously. As the years went by, I started joinin' rap groups wit my peoples from all over. The plan for me was to get wit people that were serious with their skill and to take it all to the next level. But all failed when people stopped comin' around. So I decided to do my solo thing for a minute. Years went by and all I had was a lot of notebooks filled with rhymes waitin' to get put on wax. In the summer of 2002, my homie Josh (Jay The Asthmatic) came to me and gave me a hook up wit people that we went to school with that had a studio. Little did I know it was my manz Alex (Tek), an up and coming producer from Allentown. As soon as I hooked up with him, I knew for a FACT that this is where I needed to be. We've spent months recording material, then months turned to years. I could've put out my 1st album, but a lot of things got in the way, especially when we were learning new things about the business everyday. In Sept. of 2005, after everything was officially set up, I started to record material for my upcoming album. And now i'm about to let everybody know how I got here, why am I here, and why i'm blessed with a wonderful talent. That's why i'm known as Tha Maverick. In the dictionary, the 2nd definition states "one who takes an independent stand in politics. So I decided to flip that and be like "one who takes an independent stand in music".
