MySpace LayoutsThe Birth of SI:
Sudden Impulse originally started as a solo project by young aspiring shredder Brion Hughes. His talent only continued to grow faster and larger under his mentor, ex-lead guitarist of ManOWar, David 'Shred Demon' Shankle. However, one night changed this in a matter of minutes. Brion was driving his partner in crime since birth, and cousin, Brendan Itter. Along on the ride was Brendan's oldest brother Karl. Brendan had previously been in bands with Brion, playing bass before. When the 3 Irish cousins started jamming out to the radio , it was clear that Karl had a more than average voice for singing. After a few songs, Brion took notice to this and mentioned this new found solo project he started. He said the 3 should get together and jam for he knew Brendan was capable, and Karl's voice was the best he's heard in a long time. Everyone was excited, ideas were bouncing off of each other and riffs were being spun in a web of metal, hard rock, and blues. It took over a year but Sudden Impulse finally came along the right drummer. Mike Bresnahan had been friends with the band for sometime. He had started playing drums with a friend but living in an apartment stopped him from aquiring his own kit. That changed when he moved only a few blocks away from Brion where he had a garage of his own. After ordering his thunderous kit, Sudden Impulse was finally complete. With Karl's original, clear, aggressive tone, Brendan's hard, deep, pounding bass riffs, Brion's blistering speed and melodic shredding, and Mikey's (Im)pulsating, hard hitting drums that create the heartbeat of the music; Sudden ImpulsE has fused a sound unlike any other band. The magic never stops as these Irish 4 constantly write more and more
The bands perspective:
Our songs are pure and cogent. They are about meaningful moments in our lives, and what we try to do with them is help others who might be going through the same thing. The bands who have greatly influenced us continue to be there no matter what. We intend on doing the same for the fans we grow to have. We don't want to sell out, and we're not doing this for the money and fame. Although nice, those are just bonus' to us. We want to do this for you, the people who will support us, respect, and listen to our songs. It might be an angry song, a song about girls, a ballad, etc., but they will always be there for you who want them and need to escape. We will only continue to make more. This dream is only in it's beggining stages of life. We Thank everyone who has listened so far, and helped us one way or another.
