About Folli Follie:
Folli Follie was founded in 1982 in Greece by Dimitris Koutsolioutsos, President of Folli Follie S.A. and his wife Ketty, opening the first shop in down town Athens.
The main target was to create a company providing branded, fashionable, and affordable jewelry of excellent quality mainly to 20-40 year old women.
In 1992, their son Giorgis joined the company and together with his wife Mariza, they play a crucial role in developing Folli Follie into a global brand name.
The initial success in the very demanding Greek jewelry market convinced the owners to steer the brand towards additional categories of fashion accessories and led the way towards the brand's international expansion.
In 1994, Folli Follie launched its watch line and in 1995, entered the Japanese market, which is the key market driver behind luxury goods brands.
Today, Folli Follie is ranked amongst the top 10 brands in luxury goods in Japan.
In 1997, Folli Follie was listed in the Athens Stock Exchange and with the capital raised was able to expedite its growth investment plans both in terms of product assortment and geographic expansion.
In addition, Folli Follie has been able to gain direct control of its international distribution network and vertically integrate its operations from production to retail, establishing in this way a direct line of communication with its customers, and having the required flexibility to respond to their changing demands.
Nowadays, Folli Follie is active in 20 countries, has over 280 points of sale and continues to develop new strategically important markets around the world while strengthening its presence in existing ones.
