I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My name is Jaime. Friends and coworkers have taken to calling me Jai though, among other less-publishable things. I work more than full time in two positions, one involving research, and the other involving social services. Both are very fulfilling, and feed into each other in terms of skills.I am Latino, both of my parents being of Mexican origin. Culturally I consider myself a queer Chicano. I hail from a large family: Mom, Dad, and five boys, with an even larger extended family. I think I'm pretty diverse in terms of the things I like to do.It's been said of me that I can be the nicest person you'll ever meet, and also the biggest asshole - often at the same time. I live for love in all its different ways. I am me.One of my favorite things is being a camp counselor for Camp Laurel (www.camplaurel.org) you should be one too!

Love and happiness.

I wanted to share a quote I happened to come upon out of nowhere, it impressed upon me some reality:"Happiness comes more from loving than being loved; and often when our affection seems wounded it is...

The Terminal: TIJ

Dad woke me up this morning at 7 am (having gotten home and gone to bed at 2:30 am) to ask me to go pick up my Uncle Mike at the Tijuana airport.  I agreed, not that I had a choice, and immediate...
