Hi, My name is Melissa and my husband is Cord. We are 46 years old and live in the North East Ga. Mtns where I am orgionally from. A very beautiful place to live and raise your children. We both agree, the best move we ever made. I met my husband in La. in 98 and soon after that we were married. I have 6 children that I birth, 5 from prev. marriages who I dearly love, (in loving memory Shannon) and that I am so proud of and would give my life for. We have a very close relationship. MY FAMILY: (This includes very close friends)Is a group of people (don't have to have the same last name) who LOVE, NEED, SUPPORT, RESPECT & can DEPEND on each other. We love spending time with my children and his sons, daughter in law and grandbaby. I love traveling with my family and having fun. We always have great times when were together.
All of my children were/are raised in church, I am so proud of them and their life styles, no one could ask for more and they have always stood behind me and choices I have made in life, as I have them.

When I met my huband he was an offshore boat captain and use to drink and it helped him get away from problems. I actually met him in a bar because I was visiting my friends out of state celebrating my divorce from a marriage I had been in for 14 years. We met, fell in love, I was still living in Ga. working as an Admin. Asst. for Okabashi. Long distance relationship, We ended up moving to La. He was married 3 times before me. and we have been happily together for almost 10 yrs. Appx 2 yrs into our marriage the drinking stopped. Now he can think clearly what is best for us. We had found happiness together. Drinking was never needed anymore to find happiness.

I don't like drama and do every thing to avoid it, sometimes you can't. It was Drama City living in La. with just a few people. I can't believe how much at peace we all are now that we have come back to Ga. My children had never experienced the things they endured while living there.

I try to protect my minor children from it, I don't want their heads messed up because of it. When they get older they will understand why I do the things I do. My older children understood why I did the things I did when they were young. I don't like people who are or claim to be family who dis-respect, lie, steal, backstab, and try to hurt one another. I have seen this way to much in my lifetime. I dont go out of my way to hurt anyone. I have learned to get out of anyones life if I am not welcome in it. I give them what they want. I love people who are true genuine and just straight up honest. Not the ones who love you to their face and dog you behind your back. "God says you must love & forgive everyone, even the hipocrits, who preach to you then do the same. It doesn't mean you have to be around them, or even like them, just love them in a Godly way." That includes people who have tried to split our family & my daughters killer. Thats a hard one. My son has to remind me of that often.
My husband & I are both 46 years old. We do not drink. We enjoy life with out it. My husband is wonderful with helping with everything. We even take turns cooking at home & taxi service. We have such busy schedules. A teenager with a busy life and a 8 yr. old in comp. State cheering and now training to ride horses in the shows. We work really hard for what we have. We enjoy traveling & doing things we both like to do together, with the exception, he likes to hunt & I love to go shopping. Thats pretty much our differences and a good trade off. We plan on taking our time and traveling the States, trying not to go the same place twice(except the beach)until we have traveled it all. Were not getting any younger. We love having fun while we still can. The most fun we have is traveling. That, together we enjoy alot.
