About Me

The Black Dahlia Theatre is dedicated to the development and production of new plays by established and emerging writers. In four seasons, the Black Dahlia Theatre has established itself as one of America's most important young theatres and one of the leading presenters of new plays.• Named one of "a dozen young American companies you need to know" by American Theatre Magazine in December 2004.• Won the prized "Polly Warfield Award" from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle in recognition of its 2004 season as the Best Season in a Small to Mid-Sized Theatre.• Recognized by a November 2004 cover Los Angeles Times feature article on the success of the Dahlia.• Recently named "Best Small Theatre in Los Angeles" in Los Angeles Magazine's annual “Best of LA” issue for 2005.
