About Me

Q: What are you most passionate about?
A: Helping others, listening, sharing ideas, writing, music and, most of all, working to build a better society. But, most passionate? Trying to find some peace and quiet. It is a rare and fleeting treat.
Q: What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?
A: Courage, flexibility, honesty, and compassion. The ability to give and take equally, someone who wants the best relationship they can have and not afraid to call me on my poopola (also someone who wants the same).
Q: What are three of your BEST life-skills?
A: Helping those who are less fortunate or in need Making improvements and repairs around the house Continuing to expand my knowledge and awareness
Q: What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
A: Active listener, good communicator, stability, "can do" attitude, and caring.
Q:How do you typically spend your leisure time?
A: Hiking, reading, writing, wishing I had my own canoe instead of renting one.
Q: Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it?
A: I read 5 at once. "A Users Guide to the Brain" by John Ratey
Q: Describe one thing about yourself that only your best friends know.
A: You'll have to ask them.
Q: Is there any additional information you would like folks to know about you?
A: Such as my Evil Plan to save the world? Oh...that's much too evil to disclose now.
Q: What are five things that you "can't live without?"
A: Time to be myself, Trees and water, esp. Lake Superior, The open road (pathway to exploration), Good restraunts and coffee, a pen (I'm a writer, after all)
Me, you're a Lethal Weapon!
You're open-minded, enthusiastic, and popular. Chances are you might even break the rules sometimes. You're motivated and serious, and you always jump at the chance to take on a new project. Innovation and abstract thinking are your strengths.
You get cabin fever if you're cooped up too long. Sometimes you'd rather just work on an independent project so you can concentrate without having to deal with people. And you secretly question your self-worth.

My Interests

Lawful Good Half-Elf Ranger Paladin
Follower Of Mielikki

Alignment: Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.Race: Half-Elves are a cross between a human and an elf. They are smaller, like their elven ancestors, but have a much shorter lifespan. They are sometimes looked down upon as half-breeds, but this is rare. They have both the curious drive of humans and the patience of elves.Primary Class: Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.Secondary Class: Paladins are the Holy Warriors. They have been chosen by a God/dess to be their representative on Earth, and must follow the code of that deity, or risk severe penalties. They tend towards being righteous, but not generally to excess.Real Life Interests: Rock climbing, bicycling, camping, hiking, fishing, Pirates of the Spanish Main (game), politics, religion, coffee, spelunking, studying Buddhism, gardening, fixing things (name it, I can probably do it...atleast I have all the tools to do so), and learning how to work with stained glass.

Music:

Zap Mama, Rush, James McMurtry, Three Dog Night, Melissa Ferrick, Queensryche, Kathy Mattea, John Prine, John Hiatt, John Mellencamp, Everclear, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Primus. Movies:

Sad, but true. Far too many movies that we view for "entertainment" are used to drive us further into distraction from reality or that which is happening all around us. Like anything, movies are good for temporary distraction. But that's as far as they go.

Television:

Firefly, the new Battlestar Galactica, Dead Like Me. Other than that, television is a soul-destroying, new "opiate of the masses," device.

Far too many to mention here. But, I'll get around to it. :)

Heroes:

My dad. Carl Sagan. The Dalai Lama. Anyone who fights for their creativity and individualism but also who works to better the world and not just themselves. Notable mentions: Martin Luther King.
