About Me

1st bands I fell in love w/ were KISS, STARZ & SWEET......... When I learned of BLACK SABBATH, OZZY became my favorite vocalist of all time. Tony Iommi, my favorite guitarist of all time. Heavy Metal is what got me through my teen-age years........ Grew up in Buffalo, NY listening to Import Heavy Metal such as ACCEPT , MOTORHEAD ... RAVEN & VENOM. I was way into early EXODUS TESTAMENT, MEGADETH & old METALLICA (AFTER THEY DID THIER OWN SOLO TOUR WITH NO OPENING BANDS, I ripped my METALLICA patch from my denim vest. The only reason I first found out about them is because they were given an opportunity to open for MOTORHEAD & RAVEN. When they were at the peak of their popularity, they could have given a similar opportunity as what they were granted........ I hope any bands who go big, remember how they got there. Continue the circle & give the bands who need & appreciate it a chance to showcase their wares, like OZZY is doing now with his "Ozzfest")....... THANK YOU OZZY!...& Sharon........ I have become aware that the only thing constant is change...I try to be forgiving........ My wife Nora & myself currently make our home in Dublin, CA (east bay). I am grateful to be alive today. One of my favorite truths of life is "It's not what a man does. It's what he leaves behind"........ I am thankful to know that the music I leave behind will live forever in people's hearts, in the air & on CD (mind, body & soul)as long as we can keep finding places to live harmoniously as a human race........ ............................................................ .... "Open your mind DEFINE DIVINE".........see DEFINE DIVINE favorites for favorite bands after you watch this DEFINE DIVINE video for "Second sight"

CLICK HERE TO ADD DEFINE DIVINE ...... Live performing for me is as true of a celebration of life as I can imagine........ I am very thankful to be able to make music. I've been very blessed to be able to channel melodies & lyrics to the music of many top quality musicians. I am learning more & becoming stronger everyday... The music is always on my mind...RULE! ........ I wear my emotions on my sleeve........Anger, committed, hated, jealous (I find jealousy inspires me), love, obsessed, peace, yearning (to be a better man)... I can be very opinionated. I am often misunderstood & hated for this... I'm the guy who will let you know you have a boog. Another truth of life for me is, "I'd rather be hated for being me, than liked for being someone's spineless bitch"... Sometimes, I say things people do not want to hear. The few, true good friends I have, understand that I do what I do & say what I say with all the most loving intentions I can comprehend. Another truth of life that I've become very aware of is that "you can please some of the people some of the time"........I find it to be bad luck to give money to street beggars. I only have what I've earned. I strive for balance. I "give" until the hurt/discomfort is more than the original intention. If you plant seeds in unfertile ground & they don't grow, eventually, one must realize there is fertile ground elsewhere. I believe in tough love. I like to help others learn to help themselves... Life is a constant practice of balance for me. I hope everyone I ever meet becomes a better person in some way after knowing me. . I am grateful for peaceful moments ........................... True good friends are hard to find........ My wife is the best friend I've ever had in this world........Forgiveness is Divine. "may all receive all of the love that we give"........................ "I'm gonna instigate a damn mad dance celebration" ............................................................ ............................................................ ...... "Becoming a blissful being"........ ........ "We are the ones we've all been waiting for"........ "It's better to live too much than not enough"........ "Open your mind get high with me"........ "Pimp slap the atmosphere"........ ................ "I want to be committed"........ RULE!........ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .........................

My Interests

Lover of Life?....................................................... CONVINCE ME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! (above) BOBAFLEX is one of my favorite up & coming bands I found on myspace. Their song "better than me" can be requested on Squizz XM ...................... My biggest influence of all time is OZZY. One of my most traumatic experiences in my teen-age years was when my dad tore down my OZZY wall. I had one complete wall of my room plastered with OZZY & BLACK SABBATH photos & magazine/newspaper clippings. It took me years to compile. I was so proud of my OZZY wall. My dad thought I was on drugs (he was right). He came into my room all pissed off & called me a faggot for having more pictures of men than girls. I did have a Heather Thomas poster on a different wall................ (above) Paul Mazurkiewicz of CANNIBAL CORPSE was one of my biggest influences in pursuing being a lead vocalist. He was always very encouraging. I had played with Paul & original CC guitarist Bob Rusay in a band called TYRANT SIN. We did covers of SLAYER, OVERKILL, EXODUS & CELTIC FROST as well as original stuff. Paul wrote most of the lyrics. He did give me the opportunity to write some lyrics. I remember, writing lyrics for a song called "Parasite". Paul was an excellent lyricist & I could never take that away from him. He had a specific vision in this project. Paul & the guys were heading in the heavier than CELTIC FROST, faster than SLAYER direction. Him & Bob wanted to become the heaviest band in the world. I played one show with them at a Halloween keg party.I remember having a great time, but after a while, I began to recognize we had different visions. I called it quits because I wanted to express myself in another way. EXODUS' "Bonded By BLood" was my favorite album for years after it came out. Lead vocalist, Paul Baloff (RIP) was the most intense vocalist I had ever heard. I wanted to express his intensity with OZZY's style. A few years went by & I was still "trying" to get something together. I found out them guys were touring the world while I was getting fucked up with my friends, just partying all the time. This really fueled my fire. CANNIBAL CORPSE showed me that some metal kids from Buffalo can travel the world playing music with a very unique sound. I never lost my passion for music. I just wanted to write my own lyrics. That was the kick in the ass I needed to form RULE! My friend Migwell & myself relocated from Buffalo to take the direction that was initiated by The Carass, Cock Weasel (he lived up to this moniker), Deep , Johnny Panic, Psycho Joe, Rhaji, Steve H & Turkk w/ RULE! to Florida. It was in Daytona where we formed PIMP SLAP THE ATMOSPHERE. It has since metamorphisized into DEFINE DIVINE. It is something that enables me to explore a wide range of emotions. It's a non-fiction trip into the universe. DEFINE DIVINE is the yin & the yang. (above) OVERKILL's Bobby "Blitz" is also a gigantic influence. OVERKILL was the 1st national act I was ever able to share the stage with. I was so excited that I came out & just dove into the crowd. The club was packed beyond capacity. Amazing evening, I'll never forget................ (below)DEFINE DIVINE at the Clubhouse in Sarasota. Above photo by Norita G

I'd like to meet:

Ozzy & everyone who enjoys the music of DEFINE DIVINE...

Music:

Max Cavalera (above) has been a great inspiration. Two of my favorite albums of all time are the last SEPULTURA album with Max on vox & the 1st SOULFLY album................................ Little Jimmy Urine of MINDLESS SELF INDULGEANCE is pictured above. How can you not give props to a guy who wrote the lyrics, "I'll show you how proficient midgets jack me off"? ............................ (Above) TOOL has been a very inspiring band as well. I was fortunate to have met the band members on their 1st tour. They played for about 15 people in Buffalo, NY. I was conversing w/ members of the band back stage while vocalist, Maynard was doing sit-ups in the nude behind me. Guitarist, Adam proved himself to be an amazing artist. He drew a hand w/ an eyeball in the palm being stabbed with scissors while conversing. A couple years later, I was fortunate enough to share the stage with TOOL thanks to Artie from Buffalo .... (above)CORROSION OF CONFOMITY was another killer band I was able to play with. I don't believe I ever appropriately thanked Artie for the opportunities he gave me in Buffalo. If anyone who reads this sees him, please tell him Thanks from Angst................................(below) SUICIDAL TENDENCIES mosh pit was as good of a pit as I ever was in. The crowd danced in unison with great momentum. The crowd - riding was a very signifigant part of the show when I saw them in Rochester, NY. Rocky was on guitar. I never new Les Claypool from PRIMUS produced their "Join the Army" album until I read the credits a couple years ago. ...

Movies:

Jim Carrey is a comedic genious in Ace Ventura Pet Detective & every movie he's in. Even though Cable Guy was somewhat dark & disturbing, he cashes in w/ some hilarious scenes that I, myself a cable guy can relate to............. Bad time to quit sniffing glue" in Airplane... Animal House, comedic genious John Belushi (RIP). Most memorable non-Belushi line "thank you sir, may I have another"... ... In Better Off Dead "I want my $2"... any Cheech & Chong... Bobby Boucher's mom says, "Foosball is of da dehbull" in Waterboy

Television:

The A's are my favorite baseball team, because they are over-acheivers. If you go to an A's game & you're a drummer, bring a hand drum & sit in the outfield. they play some amazing war rhythms The Braves were my favorite team growing up in Buffalo because they had the same colors as the Bills' & we had no local team. Our local NBA team was the Buffalo Braves & the Braves' baseball games were televised on cable. Andrew Jones was the biggest hot dog I've recognized in baseball. He would get a slow start on a fly ball, just to speed up at the last moment, so he could make a great grab & be on Sports Center... Giants (above) Manute Bol & Mugsy Bogues, the freaks of nature of the NBA... I'm pissed that the Warriors let Earl the squirrel go... Braves (Clippers), Warriors Basketball........ In Boxing,Muhammed Ali is "The greatest of all time" ........ src="http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/angstdivine/DEFI N%20DIVINE/moviestv/JP.jpg" (above) JP Losman signed up for cable with my brother in his rookie year in Buffalo. He gave my brother an autographed ball by Willis Macgahee, Lee Evans & himself for my nephew Nick who was just about 10 years old. That was very cool of him. I grew up as a big Bills' fan in Buffalo. ........... ... (above)My home team, the Oakland Raiders have the most serious, intense fans out there & I mean "out there". Passion is real. I went to a game when they played the Dolphins & some jerk-off was pissing in the urinal wearing his Dolphins' zubaz & a true Raider fan pissed on the back of his leg while everyone watched & laughed. That what you get for being a Dolphins' fan at a Raiders' game. Do not go to a Raiders' game to cheer against them! College & NFL Football .......................... (above) The voice of the Buffalo Sabres, Rick Jeanerette. Amazing intensity in his play by play announcing. My favorite of any sport announcer of all time...Sabres are still my favorites, but I also cheer for & attend Sharks' games , World Cup Soccer, Best Damn Sports Show, ........ Chappelle Show............................. Headbanger's Ball introduced some great up & coming bands, such as ALICE IN CHAINS & PANTERA .................................... Robert Schimmel is one of the many greats who got their break on HBO's Young Comedians Jimmy Kimmel... My name is Earl..... South Park, Sportscenter
